  2. I love it. Democrat word weasels that couldn't find a spark plug if their lives depend upon it.

Walter Chrysler, who made his own tools, to Obama and a bunch of Harvard lawyers.

Just like America. From productive workers to BS artists, and down the drain.

  4. While alot of the talk is on the Wagoner firing, I think what is of more note is that they basically have told Chrysler there is no way they can survive unless they get a merger partner. The reports were pretty scathing.

Most of the industry experts I know believe that a restructured GM (with fewer dealers, fewer brands and losing the burden of the UAW payments for healthcare) is a viable entity. None of them believe there is much of a role for Chrysler.

I think there is a role to play in terms of backing the warranties before GM comes out of bankruptcy and to provide DIP financing during the bankruptcy (the DIP is the most senior claim). That seems the path they are heading down, and I think there will be no real loss for the taxpayer. Chrysler on the other hand would have been a basket case and money down the drain.

Sure there are some details to go through but I think they got it right on balance.
