12:48 P.M. Fox News has just confirmed Tom Daschle has withdrawn his nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services.

NOTE: Daschle was also nominated as "Health Czar" which would require no senate approval. That is still up in the air.
Barry told Tom he couldn't stand the freaky red framed glasses. Tom couldn't part with his cheap frames and decided to step down.
