White House Press Laughs At Team Obama Incompetence: Joe Biden, Janet Napolitano, Robert Gibbs And Biden's Swine Flu Gaffe Cover Up Fiasco (Video)

Gibbs has a hard enough time on his own without having to apologize for the Gaffing Veep. Press blasts and laughs at Gibbs for saying "what [Biden] meant to say". Gibbs is called out by Jake Tapper for his "translation" being no where near what Biden actually said.

Unreal. I hope the MSM don't give Biden a pass here, but they will. Just imagine if Dick Cheney had said something similar. Biden is a joke.

From Reuters:

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said on Thursday he would tell his family to stay off planes or subways to avoid swine flu, prompting his office to go into damage control and the travel industry to complain.

Asked on NBC's "Today" show what he would tell members of his family if they asked him whether they should get on a commercial airliner to Mexico in the next week, Biden said:

"I would tell members of my family -- and I have -- I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places now."

He said the problem is that "when one person sneezes it goes all the way through the aircraft."

"I would not be, at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway. So from my perspective, what it relates to is mitigation," he said.

Janet Napolitano sounded ridiculous as she flat out makes up shit.

Here is Gibbs looking dumber than usual and lying his sorry ass off.

TAPPER: And my other question has to do with remarks that Vice President Biden made this morning on television. Representatives of the travel industry have accused the vice president of coming close to fear mongering because of these comments. I'm wondering if you wanted to clarify or correct or apologize for the remarks that he made.

GIBBS: Well, I think the -- what the vice president meant to say was the same thing that, begun, many members have said in the last few days. And that is if you feel sick, if you are exhibiting symptoms -- flu-like symptoms, coughing sneezing, runny nose, that you should take precautions, that you should limit your travel, and I think he just -- what he said and what he meant to say.

TAPPER: With all due respect, I sympathize with you trying to explain the vice president's comments, but that's not even remotely close to what he said. He was asked about if a members of his family...

GIBBS: Look, I understand what he said, and I'm telling you what he meant to say, which was that... (LAUGHTER BY REPORTERS) ... if somebody is experiencing symptoms -- you heard the president say this last night -- iIf somebody is feeling sick, if somebody is exhibiting symptoms of being sick, then they should take all necessary precautions. Obviously, if anybody was unduly alarmed for whatever reason, we -- we would apologize for that. And I hope that my remarks and remarks of people at CDC and Secretary Napolitano have appropriately cleared up what he meant to say.

  1. That clip IS comical, lol

Biden is a dangerous fool- his advice and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee at 7-11 (small).
He has been on the wrong side of history forever, so his DNC-vaunted “experience” has little value… he doesn’t appear to have learned a thing.
Like Obama, he vehemently opposed the highly-successful Iraq “Surge” strategy- instead, Biden favored surrender and came-up with a harebrained proposal to split the country 3-ways.

The reality is that if the current administration was in-charge 4 years ago, Iraq today would be an Al Qaida Caliphate that makes Kabul of 2001 look like Disneyland.
Biden opposed every element of Reagan’s defense buildup that toppled the USSR as “dangerous”- and opposed the first Gulf war, which would have allowed Sadam to keep Kuwait and control a large chunk of the world’s oil supplies.
In the 1987 presidential primaries, he not only plaguerized British Labor leader Neil Kinnock’s speeches wholesale… but actually co-opted his entire life story, falsely claiming to have been the “first in his family to go to college” and a “coal-miner’s son”… when in fact Biden’s father was a car salesman (no surprise there, Biden looks like one too).
Joey Plugs often says things that betray a major disconnect with reality– best chain him to a telemprompter every time he heads-out the door.

  2. Hey Gibbs, why the schlong face?

  3. Sorry-I wouldn't go anywhere near Mexico right now, period. As for getting the flu in confined spaces-only an intellect of lower quality would think that economics should take precedence over ones health. His advise is sound. 70 people have died. Only conservatives find something wrong with good advise, if it's in their interest.

  4. This is the second time this guy has flat out lied. He needs to be fired immediately! How can the American people trust anything that comes from the White House if all they get is lies?
