VIDEO: Michael Steele On Reaching Out To Obama "I'm Done"!

UPDATE: Welcome to the ConservativeXpress, Fox Nation!

In a CNN interview, RNC Chair Michael Steele says he has tried to reach out to President Obama to no avail.

"I'm done," he said.

He also addresses CNN's criticism of Steele's failure to recognize the "historical" impact of Obama's election.

"I'm supposed to support him because I'm black?" said Steele.

This is what I want to see from the RNC chair and screw CNN for trying to portray him poorly.

  1. The only thing historical about th election, is electing someone for every reason other than he was the right man for the job. A man with no credentials to get a job as a corporate executive is now the Chief Executive, and his lack of experience shows in his lack of performance.

  2. I am glad to hear Michael tells like it is. Obama doesn't reach out to anyone. He just does pr to portray he does. Stand up for us Michael because we need to take our country back before it is turned into a dictatorship,

  3. Obama is for himself and thats it. Sarah Palin warned the whole world about this man, so did hillary, people didn't listen. So we reap what we sow now.

  4. Please excuse the Southern euphamism, but I'm from North Carolina. The USA bought a "pig in a poke" when they voted for Obama. He's my President now, and I will respect the office, but with a respectful and patriotic demeanor, I will object to the policies that I find offensive. I like Michael Steele, and I appreciate the fact that he is an unapologetic Conservative.

  5. Careful Michael, Obama might fire you.

  6. Good for you, Michael! I, too, cannot understand this conversation over and over again about how historic this election was because of electing a black President. First, he is biracial and if I have a complaint I will address it to the "white" half so that people cannot tell me I am a rascist. Anyone that has spent any time in business knows better in that blacks have been embraced in leadership roles for many years. The only historical part of this election is the fact that we now have the most arrogant, narcissist we have EVER had in this position; one that has NO honor and is notfit top do the MOST important part of his position...Commander in Chief. His job is to keep us safe, not dabble in everyday micro management of every part of our lives.

  7. Glad to see Mr. Steele standing up to Obama.
Obama has no credentials to be President and his actions show that.

  8. A dog catcher could have beat John McCain when the economic fiasco hit the fan. People just voted in anger, and now we are all going to pay the price for it. Please! Someone stand up to these out of control tax and spend democrats

  9. I want to see more of this side of Steele. I always liked him, but I like him better fired up.

  10. It's about time Mr Steel's had enough! Obama does not care one little bit about reaching out to republicans.

  11. KUDOS to Steele! The liberal game of using minority status as both a weapon and a shield to attack anyone who stands in their way has got to STOP!
I believe in equality for all, but what we saw in this last election was NOT a realization of Dr. King's dream. Obama wasn't elected because of the content of his character. He was chosen for the color of his skin.
It speaks volumes about Steele's integrity that he refuses to follow in lockstep behind Obama, simply because they share similar pigmentation.

  13. When is the GOP going to get their act together??

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dang!!! Where has he been!!! Maybe the Republicans are starting to find their voice!! I'll be honest, Mr. Steele had me worried for the last several months, but if he keeps the fire in his belly, then we will be alright. Now if the Republicans and Blue Dogs will start looking out for their country instead of their political party, then we will be fine as a nation. Our bigest problem is that leadership in both partys haver begun to vote more for their partys then for the good of the country. All I can say is TERM LIMMITS, TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS!!

  15. I can agree that Obama does not know what he is doing other than Chicago style politics. He is biracial and I am tried of all the references to black this and balck that. Mr. Steele has a very hard battle to fight because of the news media not reporting the news correctly. I hope all the papers fail and no bailouts. This is a free country and I am sick and tried of this current congress trying to change it for their own personal gains. I wish we could try them for treason for their acts against the Constitution. It sure is interesting how OReilly has changed, Petreaus and a few others that were so out spokane. Obama needs to realize that being President means for "all people". Until he shows respect for all people we will work to get him and all the current congress out of power.

  16. It's going to take really tough, straight talk to wake voters up from the Obama spell.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think this is a good start for the GOP to get their act together. When you see the fundementals of the nation you grew up in, and found your dreams in, changing to a collectivist ideology, you have to look at Steels (not reaching to collectivist) as taking a stand for the fundementals of America. To me, if your for obamas ploicies, your against American fundementals, and should be shamed by Americans who still have pride in the nation.

You better watch how we deamonize business. I never got a job (or skills from my jobs to do my own thing) from a poor person.

  18. Michael Steele should see the weakness in the democratic party as opportunity to grab some moderate momentum before the next election, which is less than two years away.
Steele's main focus as RNC chairman is to bring the swing votes back to the right.

The other focus is the 16 to 24 year old Americans (16 because in 2 years they can vote). Steele can get these votes without wavering on GOP values.
The best thing going for the GOP is that all of us agree on 90% of the core issues. Unlike the democrats who agree on less than 40% of their issues, illegal immigrants, gay marriage, the war, the stimulus plan, keeping the family unit together, and even abortion are a mix and match as to what they believe in. Which the GOP can exploit if we stay together as a unit.

Getting 16-24 year old voters is difficult enough. Their brainwashing teachers, who have infiltrated our school system, are a formidable opponent. The swing voters need a softer GOP voice, again, not compromising core values, just a sweeter way of saying the same thing as the far right. Steele also needs to have an intelligent and engaging rebuttal for swing voters when the far rights' polarizing quotes are mentioned in interviews.

The far right and Rush, in particular, needs to appreciate and embrace the predicament Steele is in, and all the far "righters" need to support him. They can disagree with Steele on a view point, but help him achieve the ultimate short term goal, taking back the house! Remember, liberals will always unwittingly help us because of their disarray on a vast number of core issues. The GOP needs to be united as we stand, indivisible, with liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness for all.

  19. I would have voted for Michael Steele for President. I didn't vote for Obama. I don't vote party lines. I vote for the best most experienced, honest person. Steele would have been the best candidate of all that ran save maybe Huckabee.

  20. Michael Steele is the kind of (R) we need to win in 10, and 12.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Let us hope we have filled our quota of electing an incompetent President with Obama and can get back to electing someone with some kind of experience in the next election. The only thing the man is good at is campaigning, and he can't stop. Reminds me of a commercial from the past. His motto should be "I'm campaigning and I can't stop."
Obama's favorite expression seems to be "I am President" which makes one wonder if he's just not completely impressed with himself.
When the liberals stop voting for someone because they are black we will know they have given up bigotry. Until then it's just a party willing to sell out the USA to prove they are not bigots - which simply proves they are bigots. What a convoluted way to approach our country! Why can't they just take a black to dinner or go bowling? I guess that is just not visible enough. And then they could nominate someone (of any ethic background, sex or religion) who is qualified.

  23. Meant to say: If Obama had become President to better our country and NOT remake it in a Socialist image, his presidency would have been historical.

  24. I have a glimmer of hope that Mr. Steele's slow public recognition of the disingenuous of the left to actually engage in dialogue was only to build a foundation, which basically starts with "we tried, we reached out, we took them at their word and they simply lied to us."

This is solid ground to build real, conservative ideas from without having the inevitable cries of partisanship from the left gaining any traction. Steele can now say in a verifiable manner that the left wanted no part of bi-lateral discussion.

  25. Welcome to the "peoples socialist republic of america". The democrats have been waiting to turn this nation into a socialist republic for years. Now they have their token president to get them them there. We can blame republicans also for this. We allowed the democrats to win a few battles over education, which helped to lead to the completely failed and dumming down of our students. Being from Michigan and living the Granholm experience.

  26. bhamlinda I agree with all you said. I can not believe people elected this man to be president. I am tired of the "black" elected president. I can promise you if his white side had been dominate and he was white instead of black they would NOT say a black man had been elected.

  28. Way to go Michael Steele! It is true, Obama wasn't voted in because of his cridentials. To me Obama is a dictator at heart.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Way to go Lt Gov Steele you are a true Black leader who held an elected position in a Democratic state. President Obama hasn't ran anything and I bet Mrs. Obama ran that household before they made it rich and hired people to do it for them.

Yes President Obama is the first President of "color" but to call him "Black" is not accurate. He was raised in a household consisting of 3 white people. Went to the most exclusively expensive white private school in Hawaii. Went to prominently white college and law school where he "found" his black side. He misleads the Black Community by portrays himself as a "Brother" and one of them even though he was raised as a WHITE American.

He chose to settle in Chicago where they play fast and loose with their politics. Had he returned to Hawaii he might be in the state assembly. You see they make you wait your turn to hold elected office there.

Bottom line Michael Steele is the one to unify the Republic Party and I for one am going to be more politically involved because I am part of the problem if I am not part of the solution.

  31. I have always liked Michael Steele. I hope he will continue to be a voice for the Republican party. At this time we need all the support we can get. We need the R. Party to get fired up once again if we hope to keep a dictator (Obama) from taking over our country.

  35. Kudos, Michael Steele! Basically, if you were a non-caucasian YOU should have voted for Obama no matter what. I thought we voted for the BEST candidate for the job, no matter what the person's ethnic background, religion, gender, SKIN color, sexual orientation, etc but I guess the USA has not come that far and if you make a decision that is not one that "The Unions, Democrats, & now out of the closet Socialists" want you to make, you get chided. It does seem that our wonderful USA is on a slippery slope to Socialism. Don't by bullied into voting for someone you don't truly believe in, vote for the person who is best qualified for the job!

  36. The only historic thing about the Obama presidency, is it confirmed to the world just how stupid the Ameican people are (well at least 52%). It is time that rest of us take this country back and at least with people like Michael Steel on our side, we might have a chance.

  38. The Common Man3/30/2009 8:25 AM

It's about time Steele got a backbone. I supported him as RNC chair and then watched him wither on the vine. No one should support, elect or defame an other based on race, especially not the man (or woman) who is supposee to lead the free world. It's time to stop letting the "main stream" (I don't think so) media frame every issue in a liberal light. Like Michael we all need to speak out and identify the true racists in out great country.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think CNN is one of many television stations that are still in awe of Obama and are swallowing his Kool-Aid so fast it is running down the front of their shirts. I give Michael Steele is a Great American. Why do people try to make everything about race. Why can't we all be referred to as an American without race always being said to describe what your skincolor or heritage may be. Another thing Obama is from a multi-racial background. He is our first multi-racial president NOT our first black president.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes! Finally! We need more of this!

  41. Very well said Mr. Steele! You have my vote any time you want to run for president! These are some great comments, and I hope it means we can give Michael Steele the support he deserves.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Let me start by saying I am not a fan of our siting president. However he is my president and he should remember that. He is an American and should be outraged that we continually are demonized by a majority of the world. Compared to many of our contemporaries we, as a country, re a mere infant. Yet we have managed to do what no other country in the world has done. Outside of Isreal, have you ever seen a non-muslim leader in the middle east? Ever seen a black prime minister of England or a person of color leading Germany or France? We have grown more as a country in the short time we have existed than the rest of the world put together. Make no mistake, I have disagreed with everything the president has done to date and did not nor will I in the future vote for him. Only in America could he have accomplished this. Not in any European country or any Muslim state in the world. I for one would like to hear him publically say so.

  46. I am glad to see this side of Steele. And by the way, Obama is half white. He is the first American "half black" president. But why should the color of his skin matter? 50. And while he's at it, forget the majority of the blacks and Mexicans as possible supporters for the Republican Party. They will vote democrat come hell or high water, and trying to appeal to them while ignoring the conservative base, is not only futile, it is stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I agree with Steele on liking Obama just because he is black. That does not buy him anything in my books. The problem is it did, without a doubt, get him a lot of votes, especially from those that never took the time to really study the issues but instead voted for the unending handouts that he promised.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Thank You Mr. Steele for being a true leader. You are a Change We Can Believe In.

  53. We need more of the Ben Franklin's, Tom Jeffersons, Paul Revere's, and others that fought against this country being taken over. Mr. Steele, keep fighting and sounding the alarm. Maybe others will rise up with you sir and fight along your side. If things keep going like they are, we could see the Revolutionary War 2.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Michael Steele is what leadership should be. When will his country learn that it is not about black and white, it's about what IS RIGHT. OBAMA played the race card and won the election, how easily our country overlooks the fact he was raised by a white mama. He should be using the fact that his mama is white and his daddy was black to bring people together not seperate them. I wish he would spend less time celebrating himself and more time deaing with the issues that are tearing our country apart. I hope we survive the next four years. Look like they are going to be LONNNGGGG ones!!

I didn't see the interview with Mr. Steele, but from what I can gather, this is the Michael Steele we know, support and love...Thank you, Mr. Steele, for having Moral Courage, which this Country seriously lacks. The Democrats are responsible for many autrocities...and until they fess up and be responsible for them, they should never hold public office.

    ReplyDelete
  56. This is why I supported Michael Steele as RNC Chairman. I am tired of the GOP establishment trying to apologize and be embarrassed for who they are.

Obama as the first black president has been a disaster. He has ingored our Constitution, stomped on our liberties and will lead us to financial ruin and will leave us weak on defense.

It is time to stop looking at him as some sort of Christ-like figure. He is just a person who was elected to an office he has no business being in. His speeches are just words and he is an empty suit propogated by a Liberal media who have a guilt factor and feel this will help make them feel whole.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Race has nothing to do with this. Do not be distracted! How in the world of liberal government education can we get to the point where one black man has had enough of another black man, then some white man brings up a issue of racism that does not exist?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Let's hear it for Michael!!!! What's wrong for Michael telling it like it is? No one should vote for a candidate because of skin color, and by the same token, no one should NOT vote for a candidate because of skin color. The Obama Campaign are the people who made this election all about race anyway, not the American people.Obama's lack of experience is more evident every day and the American people are paying a very high price for it. Even a lot of his firm supporters are beginnibg to see that the man is not capable.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I have said for some time that Mr. Steel would make a great President. As for Pres. Obama,He is my president and when I pray for him, I ask God to change his heart when he's
wrong and uphold him when he's right. I wish we had had a different outcome this election,
but we are in this position for four years.
Hopefully, there is nothing done that can't be undone.
How about this? Let's clear out the career polititions and start fresh? We are on a slippery slope and we need to vote out the crazies!

  61. Way to go Michael!! Obama doesn't have a clue how to run a capitalist gov't. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dodd and Frank are the "four horseman" and Obama is just a token. 64. Before the Civil War, the southern senators and representatives walked out of their positions because they disagreed with federal resolutions being passed that would affect their way of life. Obviously it did. Now I am not calling for a civil war, but I would encourage our republican legislators to send a message to give up their salaries and walk out of their positions and go back to their states. This would send a huge message of disapproval to our leftist government officials and disrupt all governing procedures as it is defined by our US Constitution. If the republicans are going to vote no on everything, then they should walk and stir up this political maelstrom against the left wing agenda. This would wake up these Obama-bots and what they voted for. This is what the republicans should do if they are going to be considered new Republican Party.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Historic election, an "african-American"...you bet!!! He IS african-American, THAT IS THE PROBLEM. He is not a natural born citizen of America. He was Kenyan/American at birth...regardless of where born. Doesn't anyone care about the Constitution???

  66. Yeah Michael! You are twice the man Obama will ever be. I am very proud to have you as chairman of our party.

  67. The race component is the worst reason to vote for anyone. We must vote for leadership ability, honesty, integrity, and for leaders that espouse our ideals. Lying to us during election campaigns should be reason for impeachement. After all, if we voted for the ideal, and the ideal is a lie, then it was a cheat to gain the office.

    ReplyDelete
  68. A quote from above--
"And while he's at it, forget the majority of the blacks and Mexicans as possible supporters for the Republican Party. They will vote democrat come hell or high water, and trying to appeal to them while ignoring the conservative base, is not only futile, it is stupid."

I have to disagree. I live in a half white/half black area, and I talk politics with as many people as I can (much more than anybody I know--by far). The most civil conversations I have had with obama voters are the black folks in my area (A Michigan city), if they did not go to a liberal ivy league college. They listen more than any obama voter I have encountered. They believe in American fundementals, right and wrong, just like we do. That is my personal experience. The liberals just get their votes with community organization and empty promises. We can do the community organization based on American fundementals, and I think they will understand the difference. I think we are mostly Consertative in our hearts, but a lack of understanding is easy prey for a collectivist ideology (or any ideology).

Knowing that our high schools are now infiltrated with collectivists (when I hear HS students asking me "What is wrong with socialism?", I know they are not teaching American values.), may be the inner city drop out rate is a good thing. If we can show them the differences, they will vote Consertative IMO (and be inspired to finish some education to better themselvs). By the way--Dr. Martin Luther King,---was a registered Republican. He knew the difference back then. I have faith in people, when they know the score.

  69. The premise for Michael Steele's interview is that if you are black and not a democrat you are you are wrong. How disgsusting is that point of view.

    ReplyDelete
  70. America does not seem to realize that a coup has been perpetrated on the country. Yes, a coup. We gradually allowed extremists to become entrenched in the US Government. The continual increase of government assistance coupled with no taxation (48%) of some of the populace has worked amazingly well.

All any of us need do is look at Venzuela. Once over 50% of the population are convinced that they are "have nots" due to some conspiracy they will elect anyone rather than take responsibility for their own actions.

Now we have a conspiracy of the Federal Government, both houses of congress and the media (with exceptions).

The constitution was suppose to keep our nation on course, even if radical elements attempted to take it in another direction. It isn't. Why not? A major flaw. The Federal government is suppose to uphold it. Will they? Tim Geitner doesn't know anything about the constitution.

Rarely in our past was the sitting government in a position to damage our country for generations to come. It is now and they are taking full advantage of it. The more disaster they create the more we "need" them to fix it.

We need to face the facts and replace congress starting in the next election. Regardless of party. two terms is it. A strong congress can at least restrain Obama on the economy.

  85. Democrats are STILL using blacks to stay alive by "window dressing". As the Hispanic population grows, blacks will get less attention because they shall cease being the popular vote attaining minority. They do the same with gays.
Michael Steele is a TRUE American first, and a conservative American as a way to promote his Americanism. The GOP needs his intelligence, his ethics, and his principles.
I beg republicans of everyperspective to support him and his efforts to resuscitate the republican party and the RNC.
Mike, if you're out there, I hope you remember Dick Gregory from the late 60's and early 70's. He was a black "politcal satirist comedian, and civil rightist. Dick said "Don't throw money into Harlem. We need education, jobs, and housing. If you send money, you're only going to see the biggest crap game you've ever seen.". That's pretty much what Obama's economic plan is. ONE MAJOR CRAP GAME!
For whatever reason, during this last election, the voters chose to bury their heads in the sand when it came to Barack Obama's experience, his political background, ans associationS - not just ONE of them, but ALL of them! Now they are learning that you cannot bury your head in the sand without getting your "butt" in the air.
It is time to be American, no matter what your political affilliation is. Loyalty to any nonproductive person, oe endeavor, is loyalty wasted and bastardized. WAKE UP AMERICANS! We put B.O. in and we can take him OUT!

  86. Notice that I said "a majority of blacks and Mexicans." Of course there are thoughtful people of all races who see obama for what he is. I,too, live in area that has many blacks, and if any of them voted against obama, they kept it well hidden. We have had problems getting extra help, for the blacks are waiting on their obama checks, and are unwilling to do anything to help themselves. My idea is not for Mr. Steele to turn his back on the obama supporters, but to be realistic in knowing that Republican values will not appeal to people who wait for the mailman for their income. I have heard black people on Rush, Hannity, etc., who are appalled at the actions of obama, yet they are a definite minority. I applaud Mr. Steele, and am glad to see that he has a backbone when dealing with the liberal media, but I still think that targeting any specific group is a perilous road to take. Those that can think and have moral values and high expectations for their children will be won by Mr. Steele's argument. Those who vote for candidates based on handouts and skin color are not worth the extensive effort that it would take to convince them to think on their own.

  87. The tint of one's skin does not have anything to do with the ability and intelligence to "govern". I have felt for months, when I began looking at the history behind the candidates, that people were foolish to get a rock star crush on this man just because he is "black". He has no experience in running any type of business, his voting history was suspect, and even his patriotism, in my opinion, is sketchy at best. If there is nothing to hide, lay it out for the people to see. Shame on those voters who marked their ballot for this candidate because of skin color. "Looks" do not make a person qualified to lead. Our country is screwed unless everyone gets off the tookus and makes major changes in the next two elections. God Bless America and God help us.

A classic example of media bias.
That's why I put no stock in the Communist News Network.
    Glad Micheal Steele spoke out.

  91. Sara Palin, and now Michael Steel are the best things to happen to the Republican party in a long time, and not because they are black or a woman. We need to look past our prejudices and see the person. Unfortunately far too many did not do that in the case of Barack Obama.

  92. Lots of comments that make no sense here. Michael Steele instead of Obama for President? You guys would elect Joe the Plumber if he was running. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. That's all I get from those who so foolishly make those comments.

Michael Steele is sooooo right!! Obama was created and protected by the MEDIA! He has know intention of working with the GOP.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Our memories are short. During the campaign Obama sounded like a middle of the roader. He portrayed Hillary as the left winger. This was all a ruse to get elected. He had no intention then or now to do any of the things he promised to do. During the campaign he was for drilling off shore. He was for nuclear power. He was for gun ownership. He was for all of that stuff and now that he's there all of that stuff is down the tubes. If this meltdown had happened during the primary it's very likely Romney would have been our nominee instead of McCain. If Romney knows anything it's money and how it works. I suspect he'd have made a lot better showing against Obama than McCain. I didn't vote for Romney in the primary, I voted for Huckabee but if I had to vote now knowing what I know now I'd have voted for Romney. We have a chance to only have 2 years of this to put up with. Elections for congress and senate will begin soon. It's time we elect people that are electable and can turn this mess around. At the rate Obama is attempting to destroy this country and what is stands for is alarming. If the Republicans in office now will stick together and we get a couple of blue dogs there may be some hope yet.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Racism is the excuse they use to deflect any critiques. We all need to be very wary of Obama and his henchmen.

Steele is right on this...you don't vote white or black, you are supposed to vote on experience AND vision.

    Obama has neither.

  96. Does this also mean Michael Steele won’t apologize for disagreeing with Rush any more

    ReplyDelete
  97. Now the gutless Republicans should follow Steele's example and act like they have a spine.

  98. Its makes for great conversation but we need to do something to stop the guy before he destroys our country.

  99. I agree with michael the liberal media likes to throw out that conseratives are anti-minority but when they see RNC chairman a african american not a single word so that's why its difficult to talk about race in this country because everyone is so partisan

    ReplyDelete
  100. It's time the Chair of the RNC got it! Republicans are mad as hell and we need leaders to recognize it. By reaching out to this administration we will be tarred with the same brush, I want someone standing for us not kowtowing to the Libs/Dems.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Way to go Mr. Steele! It's about time he sheds light on the fact that it's only historic if a black LIBERAL takes office...not just a black man.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Right on Mike. He knows the liberal lick. He also knows he has to oppose the left agenda even if it's unpopular.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Steele needed to regain some respect as head of the RNC. I've been rather torked at him over the Rush trashing and regardless of what anyone feels he spoke like an amature and could have spoken with a more reasonable tone.
Its about time someone said out loud what half the country already knew, but only another Black man could without a copmplete assault by the Jessie JacksHound crowd. Finally an HONEST assesment, and Im happy to see Steele has seen the light

  106. I agree that OBama was and is not qualified at this to run the country. Problem is that he wasn't going to run until 2012 after his stint in the Senate. What happen..HILLARY! When she threw her scarf in the ring Pelosi went postal. She had just (for better or worse) history by being the first female Speaker (THE MOST POWERFUL FEMALE IN THE COUNTRY) and she wasn't giving that title up to Hillary and the only canadate who could knock her out was another minority..hence ....OBAMA. So we have an unqualified Top Dog because one b..... didn't want to be up staged by another b.....

Go away little one go back to the sand box where you belong.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Who are "YOU FOLKS"? Michael is right, the fact that President Obama is Black (biracial, actually) is no reason to elevate him above what he is even remotely capable of doing. We had a really bad presidential candidate in McCain and paid the price for that - we got an inexperienced liberal who is trying to use 'class warfare' to further divide this country. His left wing agenda will bring us closer to socialism than we've ever been and the only people who will be happy will be the new President's 'middle class' (those making under $30,000/year); although I have no idea how that is middle class. I guess if you keep 'getting' from your government, you can tolerate anything - even the loss of freedom. But when you are accustomed to working for everything you get - you can see much more clearly since you are indebted to no one in the government.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Seems to me that the Left Media are trying real hard to bring the race card into play with Mr. Obama and Mr. Steele. Remember Mr. Obama is just as white as he is black.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I am amazed at the following statement offered by one poster:

"Yes President Obama is the first President of "color" but to call him "Black" is not accurate. He was raised in a household consisting of 3 white people. Went to the most exclusively expensive white private school in Hawaii. Went to prominently white college and law school where he "found" his black side. He misleads the Black Community by portrays himself as a "Brother" and one of them even though he was raised as a WHITE American.

Are you saying that black people don't attend expensive white schools and if they do they are being raised as white? And because Pres. Obama went to an exclusive private school in Hawaii and didn't find himself until law school that he misrepresents himself as a "Brother?" The president was not raised as a white American. He was raised by white people, but that does not make you a white American. Black - or biracial - children who are raised by white parents are not raised to be white. They are simply raised in an American home. Millions of black families raise their children like white families - as Americans.

And for the record: Obama's father was African. In the history of this country the union of an African and a European resulted in a "black" child. Those children were slaves and treated as such. No amount of white/European blood can make a difference. In fact, Obama IS the very definition of black if you go by his parentage.

So, let's put this "he's not even black" nonsense to rest. It doesn't matter anyway. It is as idiotic an argument as saying the Republican party named Steele to be the RNC head because he was black. We all know that's not why Steele is now RNC Chair, don't we?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Mr Steele, If you read any of these postings please let the conservatives in Congress to finally grow some stones and stand up for what we beleive. We do not want to march towards tyranny. Help us. By the way, I plan to send my RNC dues on payday.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Does the MSM ever ask the DNC about reaching out? Why is it always the RNC that is under the microscope? The question itself shows the bias of the MSM.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Good job Michael!!!! Why is race always brought up either by the democrat/liberals or MSM? For a black reporter to ask the RNC chairman, who is black, if he is jealous of the first black president is a disgrace.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Keep up the good job Michael Steele. We finally have a chairman who talks like he has good common sense. I joined the RNC a couple of months ago, and plan to send dues in every month. You must try to get on other stations than FOX News, so more liberals can hear you and swing them our way.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Thanks to all for your comments, they were exactly what I wanted to write. We need to get Obama, OBiden,OPelosi,OReid,ODodd,OFrank,OGeitner and et al out of office ASAP before they get to finish what they set out do to. And...I didn't vote for Obama because he was black but because he was an admitted drug abuser, hung out with left wing radical terrorists and had a wife who hated America until her beloved was elected and because the media made him out to be the "chosen one" with ideas to "change this nation" and mostly I couldn't find where HE had any references to be president. Please remember to send your tea bag strings to Obam.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thats right Mr. Steele. You should be done reaching out. Dems will never embrace any of our ideas so why try. Lets PUSH forward our agenda, stay on message and let them do the racial slandering.
You're the right man Mr. Steele for the RNC and we support you!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Hip, hip, hooray! Michael's AWAKE! OK, Mike, LET'S ROLL and make this Socialist SOB's life in the White House as miserable as we can make it!

    ReplyDelete
  128. OK, there was too many posts to read them all, so forgive me if I am repeating some (or many) of them. I have to restate what Rush said this week on his show... Lets not just get mad at what this administration is doing, lets offer up some new ideas. Read the literature on the fair tax. Tell your friends and coworkers about it. But your brother the book. At these beloved tea parties... Wave signs in support of the fair tax. If not the fair tax, scream about whatever you support. Do not waste time getting angry... MOVE FOR CHANGE. Obama was right, this country, as well as myself is ready for change. We are sick of politics as usual. We are tired of the status quo. The problem is he mind of change is not what I had in mind. We have got to get together however it may be, and present OUR method of fix. Let OUR voices be heard. Not in anger, but in frustration for ill policies that haven't worked.

I can still hear aned totally agree with the words of fred thompson at the gop convention.
"the only thing historic about barack obama is that he is the most liberal and the least qualified person to ever run for the office of president of the united states"

    ReplyDelete
  134. Michael Steele spoke the truth, exposed the MSM for what it is, and didn't blink in the process. Let's remember what Dr. King meant when he looked forward to the day when people will "not be judged by the color of their skin". The Obamas are a great looking family, and it's refreshing to see them in the White House. But don't play the race card when a growing number of us don't approve of him dragging us to socialism when he ran as a centrist. The MSM still wants to talk about skin color. I think the country has moved past that.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I agree with Fred Thompson we have and inexperienced and liberal demon-crat running the highest office in the land and him and his other liberal demon-crats are going to ruin this country, he brought along chicago's pay to play politics to washington with him, this has been going on too long in washington and all the dirt needs to get swept out of washington and people in there who are not committing fiscal treason and constitutional treason against our country.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Thank God Michael Steele has finally stood up. I was very excited when he was choswen as the head of the Republican Party, but became disillusioned when he allowed things to become status quo. Forget Obama, do what you have to do to get this party back on it's feet. Hopefully this will happen before Obama destroys us all.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Michael Steele is the bomb and absolutely right on...I will vote for "Michael Steele for President one day" not because he is black but because he speaks truth and common sense. Now that is one Presidential race I'd hope to see in my lifetinme...Obambi v. Steele...all the racists who voted for Obambi will spin in the wind.
