Obama's Landmark "Making Work Pay" Tax Relief: $8 More Per Week That Is Supposed To Stimulate You And End Recession

"Making Work Pay" was a cornerstone of the Obama Presidential Campaign. In fact, the plan was so important to the President that he dispatched Rahmbo to Capitol Hill for last night's stealth "dead of the night" compromise meetings.

Well, Making Work Pay made the final cut. Instead of the $500/individual $1000/married couple tax cut for 95% or working Americans was reduced to $400/$800 respectively. The reduction in the amount is not important.

This is what's important. The Big Campaign Promise!

  • Q: What are some of the tax breaks in the bill?

  • A: It includes Obama's signature "Making Work Pay" tax credit for 95 percent of workers, though negotiators agreed to trim the credit to $400 a year instead of $500 — or $800 for married couples, cut from Obama's original proposal of $1,000. It would begin showing up in most workers' paychecks in June as an extra $13 a week in take-home pay, falling to about $8 a week next January.

Yup, that's right! $13/week to stimulate the economy! These are the big "tax cuts" the Liberals celebrate in the CRAPulus bill. Yup, $8/week will make a huge difference in people's lives. What a joke.

Once again, you've been had America. Things are not as they seem in the land of Hopenchange!
