Great, Now We're Gonna Cut and Run in Afghanistan Too? But Wait, Mr. Obama, You Said... You Promised..

Welcome to the Big Leagues, Mr. President! Up here in "The Show" you actually have to make decisions. You are not campaigning anymore.

Remember this kind of stuff on the campaign trail? How we screwed up so bad in liberating millions of Iraqis and wasted our time ousting a brutal, terrorist funding tyrant. That the "real" war on "he who must not be named" was in Afghanistan?

"As President, I would deploy at least two additional brigades to Afghanistan to re-enforce our counter-terrorism operations and support NATO’s efforts against the Taliban." - then candidate Obama last August.

Now we get this complete reversal and more bad news for America and good news for terrorists and the "narco state". Not to Obama: You can't vote present on this terror stuff, you're not in Chicago politics anymore.

From Times Online:

PRESIDENT Barack Obama has demanded that American defence chiefs review their strategy in Afghanistan before going ahead with a troop surge.

There is concern among senior Democrats that the military is preparing to send up to 30,000 extra troops without a coherent plan or exit strategy.

The Pentagon was set to announce the deployment of 17,000 extra soldiers and marines last week but Robert Gates, the defence secretary, postponed the decision after questions from Obama.

The president was concerned by a lack of strategy at his first meeting with Gates and the US joint chiefs of staff last month in “the tank”, the secure conference room in the Pentagon. He asked: “What’s the endgame?” and did not receive a convincing answer.

Maybe you should have thought of a plan, an "endgame", when you were campaigning and bashing Bush for anything and everything.

This President thing ain't too easy, is it? Again, you are in way over your head, Mr. Obama. It's time to put the ego aside and start listening to some of the people you hired.
