He's Just Saying It! Faker Obama "Honors" Medal Of Honor Recipient (Video)

Nope. Nothing there.

Excuse my French for a moment... but...

No emotion seen. President Obama is simply reading from a necessary teleprompter.

George Bush cared about our men and women in uniform and you heard his passion in these kinds of speeches.

The Great Orator - in - Chief is simply doing what he must do as "commander in chief".

No emotion. Nothing. President Obama, folks: The least respectful "commander in chief" in U.S. history.

I don't believe his sincerity for one second.

Shocking Hypocrisy! Audio Found Obama Didn't Like It When Bush Rushed Through Legislation (Video)

A heretofore "unknown" 2004 interview with Barack Obama by leftwing radio host Randi Rhodes has just emerged.

Really? Anyone surprised by this? WTF?!?!?! Obama is pissed that there was "no real debate"? Are you kidding me?

Newsbusters reports:

Hypocrisy alert!

A heretofore "unknown" 2004 interview with Barack Obama by leftwing radio host Randi Rhodes has just emerged. And basically, as you shall hear, Obama is saying do as I say, not as I do. In this case he was referring to quickly forcing legislation through congress. As you can hear in this interview, uncovered by Naked Emporer News, the hypocrisy seems so massive that it is destined to go viral on the Web. It features Randi Rhodes back during her Air America days interviewing then senator-elect Barack Obama on November 22, 2004. And despite the fact that Randi is currently pretty well hidden from public view, you can be sure she will soon be talked about again because of her inadvertent exposure of incredible hypocrisy on the part of Obama. And what was the hypocrisy? His complaint that the Bush administration was rushing legislation through congress without giving the legislators time to read the bills or allowing for much debate.

To get the full flavor of the Obama hypocrisy, be sure to listen to the YouTube clip which also includes a video of MSNBC's Chuck Todd discussing why Rahm Emanuel felt the need to Rahm, I mean ram, legislation through congress. Here is the transcript which picks up at the 55 second mark:

BARACK OBAMA: ...When you rush these budgets that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what's in them and nobody has read them.

RANDI RHODES: 14 pounds it was!

BARACK OBAMA: Yeah. And it gets rushed through without any clear deliberation or debate then these kinds of things happen. And I think that this is in some ways what happened to the Patriot Act. I mean you remember that there was no real debate about that. It was so quick after 9/11 that it was introduced that people felt very intimidated by the administration.

The YouTube clip then segues to comments made last March by Chuck Todd of MSNBC describing Rahm Emanuel's rationale for rushing legislation through congress:

CHUCK TODD: And a few things that I feel like that I've picked up from these guys. Number one is that they are very aware. Rahm Emanuel is Chief of staff...had experience in the Clinton White House. And he is trying to learn every lesson from those days of Clinton and apply it to Obama. So number one is, don't deal with just one big issue. One of the reasons why, for instance, they thought health care went down is you had one issue sitting out there when Hillary Clinton introduced it. We all focused on it in the media. And the opposition got to organize and stop it. And you can kill anything in this town if you set an idea out here long enough and give the opposition time to organize and stop something. And I don't care which side of the aisle you're on. You can kill anything in Washington doing that. And I think they're attacking it this way: saying we're going to push 3 or 4 different things. Because they believe the opposition won't have time to unite and kill all of it.

So kudos to Randi Rhodes for exposing the massive hypocrisy of one Barack Obama although she wasn't aware of it at the time. And why is it that it is once a blog, and not the MSM, that has dug up this very revealing interview?

Hillary Clinton: United States May Put North Korea Back On State Sponsors Of Terror List (Video)

President Bush removed North Korea from this list after they made concessions over the last few years. However, as usual, we have now learned that North Korea's actions were deceitful at best.

Despite Bush's labelling of North Korea during his famous "Axis of Evil" speech, I'm sure somehow, someway, Bush will be blamed for North Korea's nuclear weapons. Just watch.

Karl Rove: Obama's Blame Game is Inaccurate and Wearing Thin (Video)

Karl Rove calls out Team Obama on their dishonest attempts to blame the Bush Administration for their record spending on Greta Van Susteren.

"I can find no administration in which there is such a frequent recourse to blame the previous administration... They want to blame the Bush Administration for the debt. I happent to be last week in a debate with David Plouffe in which he blamed the Bush Administration for teh deficit this year. And I said, "Wait a minute, waht about your spending bill? It was your bill President Obama's $787 Stimulus Bill. What about the $33 billion SCHIP bill that he signed? What about the $410 Omnibus Bill? In reflection didn't Senator Obama support the rescue package the recovery package last fall, the $750 billion to help rescue the banks?" $350 billion dollars of that was spent by the time he got into office. If he didn't like that spendig he could have said, "You know were not going to spend another dime of that $350 billion," and yet he did... I think this is wearing thin. This is causing the American people to say, "Wait a minute this is all your spending. Why do you keep blaming the guy who came before you?"

Obama: Holder Will Decide Whether To Prosecute Bush Officials (Video)

Didn't he say a few months ago that he wouldn't prosecute Bush officials? Oh that's right, he's a liar.

Fox News reported today that MoveOn.org is putting together a petition to send to Holder asking for prosecution.

President Obama likes to claim the proverbial buck stops with him.

However, how can the buck stop with him if he keeps passing the buck onto members of his administration?

In his short Presidency, he has done this several times with various administration officials and members of Congress (i.e. allowing Nancy Pelosi to write the "stimulus" bill).

He continues to vote "present" on sensitive issues and it's getting really old.

Take a stand, Mr. President, please. Show some leadership for a "change".

Keep in mind, yesterday the CIA released the names of Gitmo detainees who have been waterboarded.

I guess we saw this coming for months, but now it's official.

Remember, Eric "Pro-Terror" Holder said terrorists could soon be your neighbor.

What purpose does any of this serve anyone?

The only people it helps are the terrorists! Whether or not Bush Administration officials are prosecuted, the damage is already done!

Our national security has been breached by our own President. Our counter-terror tactics have been released for the whole world to see.

Thanks a lot, Barry! You moron!

Once again, Obama proves he is arrogant, radical, dishonest and dangerous for America.

Obama Preserves Controversial Bush Program "Rendition", A Counter-Terrorism Tool for CIA; Another Loophole In His Controversial Executive Order

Another mixed signal from the Obama Administration.

We reported last month on Obama's executive orders banning "torture" and how they threaten the safety and security of America.

Mr. Obama is setting a dangerous tone with respect to terrorists. By treating them as standard Prisoners of War, protected by The Army Field Manual, his naivete on foreign policy and homeland security are frightening. The manual explicitly prohibits threats, coercion, physical abuse and waterboarding.

The LA Times reported Sunday on the "rendition" program:

Reporting from Washington -- The CIA's secret prisons are being shuttered. Harsh interrogation techniques are off-limits. And Guantanamo Bay will eventually go back to being a wind-swept naval base on the southeastern corner of Cuba.

But even while dismantling these programs, President Obama left intact an equally controversial counter-terrorism tool.

Under executive orders issued by Obama recently, the CIA still has authority to carry out what are known as renditions, secret abductions and transfers of prisoners to countries that cooperate with the United States.

Current and former U.S. intelligence officials said that the rendition program might be poised to play an expanded role going forward because it was the main remaining mechanism -- aside from Predator missile strikes -- for taking suspected terrorists off the street.

The rendition program became a source of embarrassment for the CIA, and a target of international scorn, as details emerged in recent years of botched captures, mistaken identities and allegations that prisoners were turned over to countries where they were tortured.

The European Parliament condemned renditions as "an illegal instrument used by the United States." Prisoners swept up in the program have sued the CIA as well as a Boeing Co. subsidiary accused of working with the agency on dozens of rendition flights.

But the Obama administration appears to have determined that the rendition program was one component of the Bush administration's war on terrorism that it could not afford to discard.

The decision underscores the fact that the battle with Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups is far from over and that even if the United States is shutting down the prisons, it is not done taking prisoners.

"Obviously you need to preserve some tools -- you still have to go after the bad guys," said an Obama administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity when discussing the legal reasoning.

"The legal advisors working on this looked at rendition. It is controversial in some circles and kicked up a big storm in Europe. But if done within certain parameters, it is an acceptable practice."

One provision in one of Obama’s orders appears to preserve the CIA's ability to detain and interrogate terrorism suspects as long as they are not held long-term. The little-noticed provision states that the instructions to close the CIA's secret prison sites "do not refer to facilities used only to hold people on a short-term, transitory basis.

"Despite concern about rendition, Obama's prohibition of many other counter-terrorism tools could prompt intelligence officers to resort more frequently to the "transitory" technique.

The decision to preserve the program did not draw major protests, even among human rights groups. Leaders of such organizations attribute that to a sense that nations need certain tools to combat terrorism.

"Under limited circumstances, there is a legitimate place" for renditions, said Tom Malinowski, the Washington advocacy director for Human Rights Watch.

"What I heard loud and clear from the president's order was that they want to design a system that doesn't result in people being sent to foreign dungeons to be tortured -- but that designing that system is going to take some time."

Malinowski said he had urged the Obama administration to stipulate that prisoners could be transferred only to countries where they would be guaranteed a public hearing in an official court.

"Producing a prisoner before a real court is a key safeguard against torture, abuse and disappearance," Malinowski said.CIA veterans involved in renditions characterized the program as important but of limited intelligence-gathering use. It is used mainly for terrorism suspects not considered valuable enough for the CIA to keep, they said.

"The reason we did interrogations [ourselves] is because renditions for the most part weren't very productive," said a former senior CIA official who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the subject.

The most valuable intelligence on Al Qaeda came from prisoners who were in CIA custody and questioned by agency experts, the official said. Once prisoners were turned over to Egypt, Jordan or elsewhere, the agency had limited influence over how much intelligence was shared, how prisoners were treated and whether they were later released.

"In some ways, [rendition] is the worst option," the former official said. "If they are in U.S. hands, you have a lot of checks and balances, medics and lawyers. Once you turn them over to another service, you lose control."

In his executive order on lawful interrogations, Obama created a task force to reexamine renditions to make sure that they "do not result in the transfer of individuals to other nations to face torture," or otherwise circumvent human rights laws and treaties.

The CIA has long maintained that it does not turn prisoners over to other countries without first obtaining assurances that the detainees will not be mistreated.

CNN's John King interviewed Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Sunday.

Transcript from Media Matters:

From the February 1 edition of CNN's State of the Union with John King:
  • KING: I don't mean to be rude, but I want to get you before we run out of time. I want to get your thoughts on this front page LA Times story -- this is your committee, the Intelligence Committee -- "CIA retains power to abduct." We know that Barack Obama has said no more torture, that he will close Guantánamo Bay prison detainee, but in this article, in the LA Times, says he has signed executive orders to continue the controversial CIA practice of rendition -- essentially scooping up suspected terrorists around the world, sometimes taking them to secret prisons. What can you tell us about this?
  • SEN. DIANNE FEINSTEIN (D-CA): I don't believe that's true. What he said is that there can be temporary housing. There has to be temporary housing. You pick somebody up, you have to know what they have done. You have to have some time to talk to them.
  • KING: The renditions, the renditions -- the CIA, under an Obama administration, retain the right for rendition, to scoop up suspected terrorists around the world.
  • FEINSTEIN: Not in that sense that you mean rendition, which is sending them also to another country or to a black site. What they're talking about is temporary holding. The fine points of it have to be fleshed out and will be fleshed out. I've met with Greg Craig about the executive order on two occasions now. The Intelligence Committee will be providing oversight over it. And, as you know, I have a bill to close Guantánamo, to end contractors doing interrogations, to have one standard across -- which is the Army Field Manual -- the executive order coalesces with this bill. And we need time to really address the fine points of the executive order and see if it's sufficient or if we need to codify some of this.

More From ConservativeXpress...

Executive Order 13440 was signed by President Bush July 20th, 2007. It stated that that members of al Qaeda, the Taliban, and associated forces are unlawful enemy combatants who are not entitled to the protections that the Third Geneva Convention provides to prisoners of war.

The Third Geneva Convention provides protection for prisoners of war assuming they meet the following criteria 4.1.2 Members of other militias and members of other volunteer corps, including those of organized resistance movements, provided that they fulfill all of the following conditions that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates; that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance (there are limited exceptions to this among countries who observe the 1977 Protocol I); that of carrying arms openly; that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.

It is our belief that President Bush was correct. Members of terrorist organizations DO NOT meet the above criteria and therefore President Obama is incorrect in his belief that the Geneva Conventions and The Army Field Manual apply to enemy combatants. Further, terrorists are not covered by The Fourth Geneva Convention which applies to treatment of civilians.

Essentially, no court, domestic or international has yet to provide a final ruling defining any "intermediary" between a formal army, militia or organized force (which GCIII protects) and non-combatant civilians (protected by GCIV).

Article 51.3 of the Commentary states this: IV Geneva Convention also covers this interpretation: "Civilians shall enjoy the protection afforded by this section, unless and for such time as they take a direct part in hostilities.". In the words of the International Committee of the Red Cross. or ICRC "If civilians directly engage in hostilities, they are considered "unlawful" or "unprivileged" combatants or belligerents (the treaties of humanitarian law do not expressly contain these terms). They may be prosecuted under the domestic law of the detaining state for such action. Both lawful and unlawful combatants may be interned in wartime, may be interrogated and may be prosecuted for war crimes.

So it appears there is a distinct lack of a true definition of how a terrorist, or "enemy combatant" in the international community. If anything, IV Geneva Convention affirms interrogation tactics used on the Guantanamo detainees.

Obama Issues Executive Order, Revoking Bush's Intel Strategy. Image Conscious Obama Puts World "Popularity" and Above Homeland Security

President Obama signed three executive orders today pertaining to Guantanamo Bay, how America handles terror suspects in custody and how the CIA conducts business.

Mr. Obama is setting a dangerous tone with respect to terrorists. By treating them as standard Prisoners of War, protected by The Army Field Manual, his naivete on foreign policy and homeland security are frightening. The manual explicitly prohibits threats, coercion, physical abuse and waterboarding.

Mr. Obama had this to say about using the Manual, The Associated Press reports.

"We believe that the Army Field Manual reflects the best judgment of our military, that we can abide by a rule that says we don't torture, but that we can still effectively obtain the intelligence that we need," Obama said. He said his action reflects an understanding that "we are willing to observe core standards of conduct, not just when it's easy, but also when it's hard."

An excerpt from the text of the Executive Order Regarding Interrogation

By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, in order to improve the effectiveness of human intelligence gathering, to promote the safe, lawful, and humane treatment of individuals in United States custody and of United States personnel who are detained in armed conflicts, to ensure compliance with the treaty obligations of the United States, including the Geneva Conventions, and to take care that the laws of the United States are faithfully executed, I hereby order as follows:

Section 1. Revocation. Executive Order 13440 of July 20, 2007, is revoked. All executive directives, orders, and regulations inconsistent with this order, including but not limited to those issued to or by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from September 11, 2001, to January 20, 2009, concerning detention or the interrogation of detained individuals, are revoked to the extent of their inconsistency with this order. Heads of departments and agencies shall take all necessary steps to ensure that all directives, orders, and regulations of their respective departments or agencies are consistent with this order. Upon request, the Attorney General shall provide guidance about which directives, orders, and regulations are inconsistent with this order.

Executive Order 13440 was signed by President Bush July 20th, 2007. It stated that that members of al Qaeda, the Taliban, and associated forces are unlawful enemy combatants who are not entitled to the protections that the Third Geneva Convention provides to prisoners of war.

The Third Geneva Convention provides protection for prisoners of war assuming they meet the following criteria

4.1.2 Members of other militias and members of other volunteer corps, including those of organized resistance movements, provided that they fulfill all of the following conditions

  • that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates;
  • that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance (there are limited exceptions to this among countries who observe the 1977 Protocol I);
  • that of carrying arms openly;
  • that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.

The War of Terror is a unique circumstance in world history. President Bush may have erred, but he acted on behalf of protecting America and American citizens.

Mr. Obama is erring on the side of protecting the terrorists and worried about his and the United States' "Image" around the world. Pretty narcissistic, don't you think?

Mr. Obama is worried about being popular more than doing what it right.

We are sorry Mr. Obama, but America and Americans are more important than how we look to outsiders.

"The time has come to set aside childish things", Mr. Obama. You want to hang out with the popular kids in the world, putting the so-called "world opinion" above American safety? Now that is truly childish.

With all due respect, THAT is the fundamental difference between Mr. Obama and Mr. Bush.

(For more on this executive order visit USA Today or The AP, including the "Prohibition of Certain Detention Facilities" and the creation of a Special Task force which will conduct a review of the Army Field Manual interrogation guidelines to determine whether different or additional guidance is necessary for the CIA. It will also look at rendition and other policies for transferring individuals to third countries to be sure that our policies and practices.)

Tom Brokaw Throws Last Minute Punches Below Bush's Belt; NBC Still Can't Let Bush Go

There were many Bush Derangement Media Moments today where mainstream media could not hold back from bashing the ex-President, but Tom Brokaw's lack of professionalism stands out. Not because of the words -- we already know President Obama gives NBC a "tingle" -- but because Mr. Brokaw is supposed to be the elder statesman of balanced reporting.

First, he compared Dick Cheney to Dr. Strangelove.

It's unfortunate for Vice President Cheney to have had this accident obviously, because there will be those who don't like him, who will be writing tomorrow that he had a Dr. Strangelove appearance as he appeared today in his wheelchair. It's not something he’ll be happy about going out in a wheelchair because he prides himself on his robustness.

For those who don't know the film...

The story concerns a mentally unstable US Air Force general who orders a first strike nuclear attack on the Soviet Union, and follows the President of the United States, his advisors, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and a Royal Air Force (RAF) officer as they try to recall the bombers to prevent a nuclear apocalypse, as well as the crew of one B-52 as they attempt to deliver their payload.

(For the record, Tom, no one would have been making that comparison had you not brought it up yourself. THAT will be the story!)

Then he compared the Obama Inauguration to the fall of communism in Czechoslovakia.

You know what it reminds me of? It reminds me of the Velvet Revolution. I was in Prague when that happened. And Vaclev Havel was a generational leader and was in the square in Prague and the streets were filled with joy. And we're not overthrowing a communist regime here, obviously, but an unpopular president is leaving and people have been waiting for this moment. And there's that same sense of joyfulness and possibility even though, as in Czechoslovakia, they had enormous problems and we do as well.

Just let him go! Let him walk off into the Texas sunset!

Obama Orders Halt to Pending Regulations for Review

RahmBo thumbs his nose at the Bush Administration's policies.

The waning days of former President George W. Bush's administration featured much debate over what rules and regulations he would seek to enact before he left office.

"Broken Promises": Obama Begins Presidency By Once Again Blaming Bush For Katrina Disaster

This is coming together? This is bipartisanism? This is "looking forward"?

He is already lecturing us about "broken promises" by breaking his own promises. In less than an hour no less.

One of the first posts on the "new" White House official website.

President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.

He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.

President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina. Citing the Bush Administration's "unconscionable ineptitude" in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims. Obama visited thousands of Hurricane survivors in the Houston Convention Center and later took three more trips to the region.

He worked with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to introduce legislation to address the immediate income, employment, business, and housing needs of Gulf Coast communities.

President Barack Obama will partner with the people of the Gulf Coast to rebuild now, stronger than ever.

This Is A Call To All Conservatives And Republicans. Give Obama His Day. Let The Obamamaniacs Have Their Day.

We encourage everyone to allow Barack Obama to have his day.

Let him have his moment in the limelight, his honeymoon, if you will.

As a Nation, we need to move beyond the hate. We conservatives are all disgusted by the anti-Bush hate speech of the last 8 years but if we have learned anything during this time, it is to agree to disagree.

Barack Obama won the election in a legitimate, democratic fashion and we all need to respect this fact.

Let us move beyond the rhetoric, allow him and his supporters to celebrate his Inauguration.

Let us afford him his well-deserved day in history and give him the respect that our Commander-in-Chief deserves.

We conservatives are above the fray. Let us not use hate and disrespect to retaliate against the Liberals for their vile treatment of President Bush.

We are better than that. And history will prove us correct.

Fear not my conservative friends, American history will run its course.

We at The ConservativeXpress will give Barack Obama a chance to fulfill his promises, but we will be ever vigilant to his shortcomings.

Putin to Obama: "Biggest Disappointments Are Born Out of Big Expectations"; Chavez to Obama: You Stink Like Bush; Hillary Offends Afghanistan

Sounds like Socialism teaches us to "hope" for the best, but "expect" the worst! It's gonna be a long 4 to 8 years...

From Breitbart:

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Saturday he had noted "positive signals" about US president-elect Barack Obama but cautioned against "big expectations."

"We have watched an election campaign with great attention and we have heard and seen the positive signals which have been directed at us," Putin told German newspaper editors and journalists in Dresden, Germany.

But he also warned of the danger of raising expectations too high.

"I am deeply convinced that the biggest disappointments are born out of big expectations," he added.

All this while Hugo Chavez says Obama has the "stench" of Bush on him and faces death threats if he follows through with his plans to change the American "empire".

And Secretary Of State Designee Hillary Clinton has already committed an international faux-pas, despite not having been officially confirmed by the US Senate.
