Government Employees Make Too Much Money? (Video)

Fox News "Bulls and Bears" crew discusses government wages. Does it make sense that government employees make 30-40% more that private workers?

Compares government employees to unions for monopolizing wages; that is, government employees hold tax payers by their proverbial balls.

  1. What do you mean 40%? In Olympia, WA the average wage for private employees is $30K while the average take for a government employee is $56K. Government is currently the only growth industry other than stripping. Guess they go together.

  2. It all depends on which agency, which job, which career field you are in. In many fields, government employees make 60-80% of the average salary in a similar private sector.

  3. face the facts.......government workers (maybe with the possible exception of firemen and policement) are way overpaid for what they do. it used to be that teaching was a dead end job financially. Not anymore. my wife is a teacher and does extremely well.
