Fox News broke this story Friday Night:
- The Obama administration has asked the military's Joint Chiefs of Staff to cut the Pentagon's budget request for the fiscal year 2010 by more than 10 percent -- about $55 billion -- a senior U.S. defense official tells FOX News.
- Last year's defense budget was $512 billion. Service chiefs and planners will be spending the weekend "burning the midnight oil" looking at ways to cut the budget -- looking especially at weapons programs, the defense official said.
The honeymoon, Mr. President, is now officially over. This is beyond outrageous. This is anti-American, like every other thing you have done in your first 11 days in office.
I'm sure the bleeding-heart, leftist, radical, tree-hugging, new-Marxist socialists who you pal around with view honeybee insurance, STD "prevention", ACORN payback and "fish barriers" to be more important than national security, protecting Americans and defending the Constitution.
We, however, do not.
This is exactly why people like Rush Limbaugh hope you fail. We don't want America to fail, we want the Obama/Pelosi/Reid radical anti-American agenda to fail.
WARNING, MR. PRESIDENT: One, Just One Act of Terror on American soil under your watch will destroy your Presidency and tarnish your precious ego for eternity.

The time has come to fight back, America. Raise your voice, contact your Representative, Senator and The President directly and let them know how you feel.

You have as much of a right to your opinion as I have to mine and I think we can at least agree on that.
With that said, when Obama espouses a new era of fiscal responsibility and it's okay to spend BILLIONS on BS Pork spending yet we have to cut $55 Billion from the Pentagon is both hypocritical and dangerous.
Yes, the economy is bad. Yes, the government should try something.
But the Stimulus Bill as written is a freaking joke. Seriously, you cannot possibly support all the pork in the bill.
I would sooner see all the Senators (and the President) work for one year without pay (most are already millionaires) than compromise our national security.
