Biden Gaffe 2.0: Obama Taps Joe Biden As Stimulus "Czar"; Biden Doesn't Even Know What Website He Will Be In Charge Of

I understand the need for oversight of the CRAPulus Spending Bill, but Obama can't find anyone with some better credentials?

Citizens Against Government Waste, the group that specializes in being a watch dog against wasteful government spending, routinely put Biden in a select group the worst wasteful spenders while he was in Congress, The Provacateur reports.

Fox News reports:

President Obama has turned to his own vice president to oversee implementation of the $787 billion economic stimulus package, part of which will be available this week for state Medicaid programs.

Obama announced his decision before the National Governors Association in Washington on Monday, saying Vice President Joe Biden will help ensure the distribution of the money is not just swift, "but also efficient and effective."

"The fact that I'm asking my vice president to personally lead this effort shows how important it is for our country and future to get this right," he said.

Biden, in his new role, would meet regularly with key members of the Cabinet, governors and mayor to make sure their efforts are speedy and effective. He is expected to make regular reports to the president that will be posted online at http://www.recovery.gov/.

But, wait a minute, Joe Biden is the one who gave the world the wrong website information last week!

From WaPo:

“We’ve already set up a Web site, Recovery.com, which will show where and how the money is being spent,” the vice president told the leaders of the United States Conference of Mayors during a speech in the East Room of the White House. “The public can actually go on a Web site and see how we’re spending this money.”

But the stimulus site is not Recovery.com — it’s Recovery.gov. Recovery.com and Recovery.org earlier today both redirected to the commercial Web research company Onvia, a NASDAQ-traded $20 million business that’s been tracking government spending for a decade and that’s now also in the business of helping businesses secure government contracts being doled out under the stimulus bill.

From Wonkette:

The problem is that tons of people went to Recovery.com earlier today and discovered a website that will, in fact, track how the stimulus money is spent, but probably in much greater detail than whatever pretend-transparent bullshit Recovery.gov will offer.

Never a dull moment with The Biden!
