Everyone From Castro to Hugo Chavez to Former Saddam Hussein Top Aide Are Lining Up to Meet With Obama/More Dangerous Foreign Policy

Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, a top aide to Saddam Hussein and Leader of the Iraqi Baath Party following Saddam's execution, said he would "enter a dialogue" with President-Elect Obama if the Commander-in-Chief-to-Be will withdrawal from Iraq.

The news comes just a day after Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said he would like to accept Obama's offer to meet "without preconditions".

Reuter's is reporting:

DUBAI (Reuters) - A former aide to Saddam Hussein said in an audio tape aired on Tuesday that Israel would not have dared to launch its current attack on Gaza if the Iraqi leader was still in power.

But Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, the most senior member of the past regime still at large, said on the recording broadcast by Al Jazeera television that Iraqi insurgents would negotiate with Washington if the administration of president-elect Barack Obama withdrew from Iraq.

"The barbaric ... attack on our (Arab) people in Gaza is the natural result of the absence of Iraq, its national leadership and its leader ... the martyr Saddam Hussein," said Ibrahim, a leader of Iraqi insurgents.

Saddam, executed in 2006 after being deposed by a U.S.-led invasion in 2003, had launched missiles at Israel in 1991 during a war with the United States.

"We are with you on the battlefield ... and Gaza shall be victorious, God permitting," he said. The television did not say how it obtained the recording and its authenticity could not be verified.

Ibrahim also addressed Obama, whose opposition to the Iraq war was a major part of his election campaign, but who has also said he wants a responsible withdrawal.

"If you withdraw fully from Iraq and leave it to its people, free and independent, we will enter a dialogue with you immediately to set up the widest strategic relations with America," Ibrahim said, adding that Washington had "legitimate strategic interests" in Iraq and the region.

This news comes just a day after Top al-Qaeda Chieft Ayman al-Zawahiri all but blamed Obama for the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

From CNN:

An audio message attributed to Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, the highest ranking former member of Saddam Hussein's regime still at large, salutes the "People of Palestine" and calls on them to fight back against Israel in Gaza.

"We say to the people of Gaza, give more resistance and we will be with you in the field, and know that our victory in kicking out the invaders is your victory as well, because the main assailant on the nation and on Palestine is the American imperialism," the recording said.

"A salute to the martyrs of the massacre, and our condolences to their families."

Al-Douri's recording follows reports of a similarly defiant message from al Qaeda's deputy chief a day earlier. Ayman al-Zawahiri reportedly vowed revenge for Israel's air and ground assault on Gaza and called Israel's actions against Hamas militants "a
gift" from U.S. President-elect Barack Obama
.

Castro also accepted Obama's invitation last month when he agreed with the President-Elect on his views of closing the US Military Facility on Guantanamo Bay.

According to (actor Sean) Penn, Raúl Castro told him, "Perhaps we could meet at Guantanamo. We must meet and begin to solve our problems, and at the end of the meeting, we could give the president a gift. ... We could send him home with the American flag that waves over Guantanamo Bay."

All this on top of the probable nomination of Leon "No Intel Experience" Panetta and Janet "no credentials when it comes to security, national security issues, military or law enforcement" Napolitano.

This leaves us with Diplomat-in-Chief Hillary "Centrist Uniter" Clinton as our best hope in bringing sensible foreign policy to the Obama Administration?
