On "Face The Nation," White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod recalls how and why President Obama decided to try and put an end of the controversy touched off when he said that the Cambridge police "acted stupidly" in arresting Professor Henry Louis Gates.
He also tells Bob Schieffer of a possible meeting between Obama, Gates and the arresting officer, Cambridge Sergeant James Crowley: "It will happen."
I wonder if Obama will ever follow through on his invitation to Sean Hannity for a beer?
