Keep hope alive for 2012! Rasmussen blames the Auto Bailout, but it couldn't possibly have anytime to do with the Apology Tour and the Pro-Hamas, Anti-Israel speech in Cairo, could it?
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 34% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-four percent (34%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of 0. That’s the highest level of strong disapproval and the lowest overall rating yet recorded (see trends). The President’s ratings have slipped since General Motors filed for bankruptcy to initiate a new government bailout and takeover. Just 26% of Americans believe the GM bailout was a good idea and nearly as many support a boycott of GM products. It remains to be seen whether the dip in the President’s numbers is a temporary reaction to recent news or something more substantive.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve.
Here's how the left responds, saying Obama has "inherited" the "angry public" from George Bush:
Don't you just love it when Dimocrats claim they bear no responsibility for anything. Even though they controlled Congress for almost 3 years during Bush's second term and promoted rapid and expanded spending even then and certainly, without a doubt are essentially responsible for the Fannie and Freddie CRA debacle that triggered the financial crisis we now find ourselves in. DEMOCRATS ARE TRULY DELUSIONSAL. They're like a spoiled little child who never admits wrong doing and never accepts responsibility for anything.
ReplyDeleteIt took Bush 8 years to double the federal deficit. It took Obama two months to double it again. In fact, with the additional Obama programs, he will have quadrupled the federal deficit by the end of his first year in office. Obama has bankrupted the country...and he owns the bankruptcy lock, stock and barrel.
Obama is being totally disingenuous when he says he inherited the fiscal problems from Bush. Obama was in Congress for 3 years and voted heartedly for every spending program, including the abominable stimulus. Democrats have been in charge of Congress the last 3 years; therefore they have driven this country off the fiscal cliff and led us to where we are now. They instituted the Community Reinvestment Act under Carter and put it on steroids under Clinton by tangling Freddie and Fannie up in it. The Bush Administration tried numerous times to regulate Fannie and Freddie but Congressional Democrats quashed any possibility of doing so. Ample evidence exists, particularly of Dodd, Frank, Waters, Meeks lying in Congressional hearings protecting Fannie and Freddie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MGT_cSi7Rs). The mortgage bubble debacle which government provided the framework for from which Wall Street formulated derivatives and credit default swaps from is at the root of the financial crisis.
Although the national media isn’t reporting this news, Obama and Democrats have already put America in its deepest financial debt since the Great Depression:
