President Golfs During Memorial Day, Did Media Give Him A Free Pass? (Video)

A rare Team "O" image faux pas! Yeah, I'm sure he stopped golfing to observe a moment of silence; just like not going to church on the National Day Of Prayer.

I'm just saying the President cannot go golfing, but maybe he should not be having so much fun on Memorial Day? It's like Date Night; I'm not begrudging Barack and Michelle for going on a date, but do they really need to fly to New York City for fun?

Is he arrogant? Stupid? Naive? All of the above?

ABC News' Jake Tapper and Karen Travers report:

In his remarks at Arlington National Cemetery this morning, President Obama called on all Americans to observe Memorial Day, a day of “silent remembrance and solemn prayer,” by pausing for a moment of national unity at 3 pm this afternoon.

For President Obama that moment came in the middle of a round
of golf at Ft. Belvoir in Virginia.

The AP reported it this way:

President Barack Obama hit the golf course after marking his first Memorial Day as commander in chief.

The president's motorcade took him to Fort Belvoir in Virginia. That's where he went for a game of golf more than a week ago.

Obama grabbed his clubs after he participated in Memorial Day observances at Arlington National Cemetery. He laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns and, in brief remarks, saluted the men and women of America's fighting forces as "the best of America."

It was not immediately clear who joined the president for the round of golf.
