Just Kidding About The Doom and Gloom! Obama Now Says Economy "not as bad as we think"

Something to keep in mind, Team "O" is enacting parts of the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" right before our eyes:

First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Last November, Rahm The Ballerina, commented 'You never want a serious crisis to go to waste'.

From the day he took office, has been determined to use the crisis to deceive the American people and use smoke and mirrors to enact the Radical American Communist Experiment (R.A.C.E.)"

Team "O" wants to create a Socialist dystopia that will make The Federal government stronger and more prosperous to control every element of society. The great Socialist power grab to establish a permanent voting majority!

Breitbart reports:

Confronting misgivings, even in his own party, President Barack Obama mounted a stout defense of his blueprint to overhaul the economy Thursday, declaring the national crisis is "not as bad as we think" and his plans will speed recovery.

Challenged to provide encouragement as the nation's "confidence builder in chief," Obama said Americans shouldn't be whipsawed by bursts of either bad or good news and he was "highly optimistic" about the long term.

The president's proposals for major health care, energy and education changes in the midst of economic hard times faced skepticism from both Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill, as senators questioned his budget outlook and the deficits it envisions in the middle of the next decade.

But Obama, speaking to top executives of the Business Roundtable, expressed an optimistic vision and called for patience.

Richard Parsons, chairman of beleaguered Citigroup Inc., asked if Obama could offer some help in a national battle "between confidence and fear."

"A smidgen of good news and suddenly everything is doing great. A little bit of bad news and ooohh , we're down on the dumps," Obama said. "And I am obviously an object of this constantly varying assessment. I am the object in chief of this varying assessment."

I guess he can stop using doom and gloom Chicken Little scenarios now that we are well on our way to Socialism!

Finally Some Optimism And Hope Among The Doom And Gloom, Fed Chair Bernanke Says "Reasonable Prospect" Recession Will End In 2009

Thank you Fed Chair Bernanke for giving the markets and Americans something to look forward to, quite unlike President Apocolypto and Treasury Secretary Market Killer.

Hope and optimism moves markets.

The Associated Press Reports:

NEW YORK (AP) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has reassured Wall Street by telling Congress the recession might end this year.

In his semiannual report to the Senate Banking Committee, Bernanke predicted the economy is likely to keep contracting in the first six months of 2009. But he also said "there is a reasonable prospect" the recession will end this year. He warned that a recovery will require getting credit and financial markets to operate normally.

While Bernanke's assessment of the economy helped ease some pressure on the market, it also came after days of heavy selling that left the Dow Jones industrial average and the Standard & Poor's 500 index near 12-year lows, so a bounce in stocks wasn't a surprise. Stocks made cheaper by the selloff attracted bargain-hunting traders. Also, some, better-than-expected quarterly numbers from Home Depot Inc. helped cool some anxiety about the economy.

Obama Hypocrisy 2.0: President's Housing Plan Draws Comparisons To McCain Plan That Obama Called "Risky" and "Erratic"

Barack Obama's housing bailout plan is being compared to the proposal championed last year by John McCain.

Democrats said McCain's $300 billion plan would have had the government basically eat the cost of reduced property values.

"Taxpayers shouldn't be asked to pick up the tab for the very folks who helped create this crisis," Obama said on the campaign trail. "And that's the problem with Senator McCain's risky idea."

At the time, Obama said McCain's plan showed "erratic leadership."

Excuse me? What what the hell is your plan, Mr. Obama!?!?!

How exactly, under your plan, are taxpayers not being "asked to pick up the tab for the very folks who helped create this crisis."

You are turning into such a hypocrite it makes me sick to my stomach.

Pass me the antacids...oh, right, I'll have to wait for 8 hours for that when Obama institutes Socialized Medicine.

Iran Celebrates Anniversary of Islamic Revolution: Stick-Wielding Mob Attacks Former President, Obama Burned In Effigy, A-Jad Wants "Mutual Respect"

Remember, Iran thinks that engaging in talks makes us look weak and signals the end of America as a world power.

Ahmadinejad, wants an apology from Obama, denies the holocaust, and the Irani government supplies weapons to terror groups in Iraq and Palestine and is suspected of developing a nuclear weapon to help Hamas wipe Israel (and US Interests) off the face of the earth.

From Al-Jazeera:
Thousands of Iranians chanting anti-US slogans have rallied in the capital Tehran, celebrating 30 years of the Iranian revolution. Addressing the rally on Tuesday, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, said Iran is ready for dialogue with the US provided the talks were based on mutual respect.

As many in the crowd carried placards reading "Death to America" and set alight US flags, he said: "The new US administration has announced that they want to produce change and pursue the course of dialogue. "It is quite clear that real change must be fundamental and not tactical. It is clear the Iranian nation welcomes real changes. "The Iranian nation is ready to hold talks but talks in a fair atmosphere with mutual respect."

Ahmadinejad lauded the revolution, which toppled the Shah. "The Iranian revolution, although it started in Iran and is the core of the Iranian nation, it belongs to all nations anywhere in the world," he said.

"The Iranian revolution has brought great results. Over the past 30 years, Iran has been moving to the top. It has increased its speed in the fields of scientific research.

"Because of suppression and relying on a foreign country, the scientific
research work had not been developing," Ahmadinejad said, referring to US and Western sanctions imposed on Iran.

Iranian perspective

Seyed Mohammed Marandi, a professor at the University of Tehran, told Al Jazeera: "The people burning the US flag shows how angry they are at the US. [US president Barack] Obama says Iran should change, but Iran sees it the other way round.

"America has imposed sanctions that have ruined the economy... they[Iranians] do not yet trust this administration" Seyed Mohammed Marandi, professor at the University of Tehran"Hundreds of thousands of American troops surround Iran, not the other way round. America has imposed sanctions that have ruined the economy. They [Iranians] do not yet trust this administration."

The Times Online reported:

Iran’s former president was set upon by an angry stick-wielding mob today amid celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on the streets of Tehran. The attack on Mohammed Khatami came just two days after the reformist cleric announced he would be running against the hardline incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in June's presidential elections.

"A-Jad" also has these words of encouragement:

TEHRAN, Feb. 10 (ISNA)-Iran’s President said the country is ready for dialogue under just climate and mutual respect.

The US new administration has announced it wants to bring change and take the path of dialogue, it is very clear that the change must be fundamental instead of tactical, said Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Tuesday to tens of thousands of Iranians who gathered in Azadi (Freedom) square in Tehran to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Islamic Revolution.

“Iran’s nation welcomes real changes, Iran’s nation is ready for dialogue, but dialogue in a just climate and with mutual respect.”

Iran’s nation is a true and real superpower, Ahmadinejad added, Iran is a competent and justice-seeker power that befriends all nations and has no eye for territories and interests of others.

****It is impossible that someone presumes he is able to threaten Iran’s nation.

“Today, the world is passing materialism, authoritarianism and bullying era and the time when the military and economic power could have the supreme role, the world is on the verge of entering the era of thoughts, logic and dialogue.”

They (the West) said they want to defy terrorism, Iranians have been fighting against terrorists for 30 years, and if they really want to defy the phenomenon they should cooperate with Iran’s nation that is the biggest victim of terrorism, he said.
Wow, and we thought our President was full of "doom and gloom".

ConservativeXpress View Of The First Obama Press Conference

Obama spent 8 minutes in his opening statement scaring the crap out of America with "gloom and doom".

He then took 10 minutes to answer the first question.

A liberal talk show host had a front row seat (imagine seeing Rush or Hannity in the front row of a Bush press conference?)

He threw Joe the Biden under the bus.

Watch the arrogant "oh, Major Garrett, you work for that silly Fox News, Network" fake laugh during the question.

The Huffington Post got to ask a question....The left-wing blog "Huffington Post" got a seat at Monday's presser and blogger Sam Stein asked the President if he was interested in "prosecution of Bush Administration officials." The previous day Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy (D.-Vt.) called for a "Truth Commission," modeled after the panel that investigated apartheid in South Africa, to investigate Bush officials. Obama left the door open to the idea. He said "I will take a look at Senator Leahy's proposal." "My view is also that nobody's above the law and, if there are clear instances of wrongdoing, that people should be prosecuted just like any ordinary citizen," he said.

CNN and Ed Henry apparently want to publicize and celebrate dead soldiers returning home in draped coffins...what? You sick, sick F*cks! Go to hell!

Helen Thomas should be officially put out to pasture for asking if the President about "so-called terrorists" and if he knows "of any country in the Middle East that has nuclear weapons"... (uh, "so-called terrorists" GET OFF THE STAGE YOU DOPE; and Ms. Thomas last time I checked Israel has nuclear weapons and is, in fact, in the Middle East. You have been the laughing stock of the White House Press Corps for years! Get thee to a nunnery, go! Please!)

He was also asked about Alex "A Rod" Rodriguez hypocritical use of steroids. The hypocrite President said the hypocrite baseball player.... natural catastrophe.... jobs, jobs, jobs... worst economic crisis since Mesopotamia... swift, bold.... I won... I trump you on that...

It's gonna be a long, LONG four years...

...to be continued.

President Apocalypto Brings "Doom and Gloom" Fear-Mongering To The People!

He's still doing it! The sky is still falling! We're still going suffer a slow, painful death if we don't create a Socialist Marxist Totalitarian regime!

That and President Hypocrite is still babbling about "tired politics" and blaming Republicans when it's His Own Party exercising the same partisan politics of the past!

Fox News is reporting:

President Obama told an Indiana crowd Monday that "we can't afford to wait" to jump-start the economy, as he made the first of two campaign-style stops meant to draw attention to towns hard-hit by unemployment and rally support for his economic stimulus plan.

The president spoke at a town hall-style meeting in Elkhart, Ind., where the unemployment rate soared to 15.3 percent in December, up 10.6 percentage points from December 2007.

He said he intends to keep his "promise" to lighten the burden of the economic downturn on working-class families, and called on Washington to pass the recovery package "immediately."

"The situation we face could not be more serious," Obama said, warning that the economy could slide on an irreversible course if nothing is done. "We can't posture and bicker and resort to the same failed ideas that got us into this mess in the first place."

He spoke as the Senate was preparing to clear the final procedural hurdles toward approving an $827 billion version of the recovery package. But with Republicans continuing to raise serious questions about the bill -- a massive package that combines a mix of tax cuts, spending and incentives -- Obama was trying to ensure public support.

Obama tried to discredit what his administration sees as misconceptions about the package.

He said 90 percent of the jobs created as a result of the bill would be in the private sector, disputing claims that the funding would go toward government job creation. He said the package is free of earmarks, despite ongoing criticism about wasteful spending.

"It is the right size, it is the right scope," Obama said. "I also can't tell you with 100 percent certainty that every single item in this plan will work exactly as we hope. But what I can tell you is I can say with complete confidence that endless delay or paralysis in Washington in the face of this crisis will only bring deepening disaster.

"I can tell you that doing nothing is not an option," he said.

Once again, thanks for the hope, Mr. President.

Your Weekly Radio Address From President Obama; Now It's A "Natural Catastrophe"; Gives a Shout Out To Maine Senators

The Sky is Falling! The End is Near! We're All Gonna Die! It's the worst disaster since the plague... Fire & Brimstone!

...President Apocalypto must be using "hope" to cheer us up about the economy again.

More Pork and Bull and Babble we don't believe in anymore.

Transcript from The White House

Yesterday began with some devastating news with regard to our economic crisis. But I'm pleased to say it ended on a more positive note.

In the morning, we received yet another round of alarming employment figures – the worst in more than 30 years. Another 600,000 jobs were lost in January. We've now lost more than 3.6 million jobs since this recession began.

But by the evening, Democrats and Republicans came together in the Senate and responded appropriately to the urgency this moment demands. (My note: less than 2% of Congressional Republicans will vote for the bill. 3 out 191)

In the midst of our greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, the American people were hoping that Congress would begin to confront the great challenges we face. That was, after all, what last November's election was all about.

Legislation of such magnitude deserves the scrutiny that it's received over the last month, and it will receive more in the days to come. But we can't afford to make perfect the enemy of the absolutely necessary. The scale and scope of this plan is right. And the time for action is now.

Because if we don't move swiftly to put this plan in motion, our economic crisis could become a national catastrophe. Millions of Americans will lose their jobs, their homes, and their health care. Millions more will have to put their dreams on hold.

Let's be clear: We can't expect relief from the tired old theories that, in eight short years, doubled the national debt, threw our economy into a tailspin, and led us into this mess in the first place. We can't rely on a losing formula that offers only tax cuts as the answer to all our problems while ignoring our fundamental economic challenges – the crushing cost of health care or the inadequate state of so many schools; our addiction to foreign oil or our crumbling roads, bridges, and levees.

The American people know that our challenges are great. They don't expect Democratic solutions or Republican solutions – they expect American solutions.

From the beginning, this recovery plan has had at its core a simple idea: Let's put Americans to work doing the work America needs done. It will save or create more than 3 million jobs over the next two years, all across the country – 16,000 in Maine, nearly 80,000 in Indiana – almost all of them in the private sector, and all of them jobs that help us recover today, and prosper tomorrow.

Jobs that upgrade classrooms and laboratories in 10,000 schools nationwide – at least 485 in Florida alone – and train an army of teachers in math and science.

Jobs that modernize our health care system, not only saving us billions of dollars, but countless lives.

Jobs that construct a smart electric grid, connect every corner of the country to the information superhighway, double our capacity to generate renewable energy, and grow the economy of tomorrow.

Jobs that rebuild our crumbling roads, bridges and levees and dams, so that the tragedies of New Orleans and Minneapolis never happen again.

It includes immediate tax relief for our struggling middle class in places like Ohio, where 4.5 million workers will receive a tax cut of up to $1,000. It protects health insurance and provides unemployment insurance for those who've lost their jobs. And it helps our states and communities avoid painful tax hikes or layoffs for our teachers, nurses, and first responders.

That's what is at stake with this plan: putting Americans back to work, creating transformative economic change, and making a down payment on the American Dream that serves our children and our children's children for generations to come.

Americans across this country are struggling, and they are watching to see if we're equal to the task before us. Let's show them that we are. And let's do whatever it takes to keep the promise of America alive in our time.

Thank you.

"Natural catastrophe"? Like Kentucky in the ice storms? Oh wait, we're not supposed to mention that.

Thanks for the shout outs to Senators Snowe and Collins from Maine and Dick Lugar from Indiana.

We also like Robert "Peter Griffin" Gibbs apocalyptic warning/threat yesterday to the Maine Duo, Senator Spector and others in his Doom and Gloom: The Briefing Room Edition.

That's not "old politics" or "more of the same at all" is it? No, not the Obama White House. No politics here.

The Sky Is Falling! President Armageddon Continues Politics of Fear Over Hope, Blames Congress, Calls Them "Irresponsible"

"...if we drag our feet and fail to act, this crisis will turn into a catastrophe. We'll continue to get devastating job reports like today's—month after month, year after year." -- President Obama 2/6/09

Source Breitbart

Obama signed an executive order today create an outside panel of experts to help steer the economy out of a tailspin. Great, more buereaucracy, more cooks in the kitchen. But anyway...

President Armageddon continued his doom and gloom fear mongering in an effort to pass the Congressional Radical Anti-American Pork (CRAAP) "stimulus". Today he has introduced a new strategy, blaming Congress for being "irresponsible", while he continues to vote "present".

"These numbers demand action. It is inexcusable and irresponsible to get bogged down in distraction and delay while millions of Americans are being put out of work. It is time for Congress to act," Obama said bluntly.

"The American people did not choose more of the same," Obama said. "They did not send us to Washington to get stuck in partisan posturing, or to turn back to the same tried and failed approaches that were rejected in the last election. They sent us here with a mandate for change, and the expectation that we would act."

He's still campaigning! Not leading!

Yesterday, in a Washington Post opinion, President Chicken Little said:

"By now, it's clear to everyone that we have inherited an economic crisis as deep and dire as any since the days of the Great Depression."

Well, the numbers are out and while certainly far from good news, they confirm that President Apocalypto needs to tone down the rhetoric just a tad.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Recession-battered employers eliminated 598,000 jobs in January, the most since the end of 1974, and
catapulted the unemployment rate to 7.6 percent.

With cost-cutting employers in no mood to hire, the unemployment rate bolted to 7.6 percent in January, the highest since September 1992.

Factories slashed 207,000 jobs in January, the largest one-month drop since October 1982.

Charles Krauthammer writes in today's Washington Post:

"Catastrophe, mind you. So much for the president who in his inaugural address two weeks earlier declared "we have chosen hope over fear." Until, that is, you need fear to pass a bill."

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose.

"Doom and Gloom": The Obama Op Ed; Pass This Bill Or It's Armageddon! President Apocalypto Predicts The Worst to Save His Ass

The sky is falling! It's raining frogs! The volcanoes are erupting! The ocean's are boiling! Wait, we've heard this tone before...somewhere... this is what Obama's fear-mongering sounds like to us.

  • The antichrist (beast) will come into power and sign a peace pact (covenant) with Israel for seven years (Daniel 9:27).

  • This seven year period of time is known as the Tribulation. During the Tribulation, there will be terrible wars, famines, plagues, and natural disasters. God will be pouring out His wrath against sin, evil, and wickedness.

  • The Tribulation will contain the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and the seven seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments.

  • About halfway through the 7 years, the antichrist will break the peace covenant with Israel and make war against them. The antichrist will perform the abomination of desolation and set up an image of himself to be worshipped in the temple (Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10).

  • The second half of the Tribulation is known as the Great Tribulation and the time of Jacobâ??s trouble. At the end of the seven year Tribulation, the antichrist will launch a final attack on Jerusalem, culminating in the Battle of Armageddon. Jesus Christ will return, destroy the antichrist and his armies and cast them into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:11-21).

  • Christ will then bind Satan in the Abyss for 1000 years and will rule His earthly kingdom for this 1000 years (Revelation 20:1-6).

Was the Congressional Radical Anti-American Pork (CRAAP) Act mentioned in the Bible?

This does not sound like hope and change. Take is easy Mr. President. Breathe. It's gonna be okay!

From The Washington Post:
The Action Americans Need

By now, it's clear to everyone that we have inherited an economic crisis as deep and dire as any since the days of the Great Depression. Millions of jobs that Americans relied on just a year ago are gone; millions more of the nest eggs families worked so hard to build have vanished. People everywhere are worried about what tomorrow will bring.

Wow, that's reassuring to hear from the President. You wouldn't be trying to scare us, would you?

What Americans expect from Washington is action that matches the urgency they feel in their daily lives -- action that's swift, bold and wise enough for us to climb out of this crisis.

What Americans expect from Washington is for you to keep you hands out of our pockets and keep you nose out of our lives.

Because each day we wait to begin the work of turning our economy around, more people lose their jobs, their savings and their homes. And if nothing is done, this recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse.

We're all gonna die if we don't spend money on STD research, honeybee insurance, "fish barriers" and Frisbee golf!

That's why I feel such a sense of urgency about the recovery plan before Congress. With it, we will create or save more than 3 million jobs over the next two years, provide immediate tax relief to 95 percent of American workers, ignite spending by businesses and consumers alike, and take steps to strengthen our country for years to come.

With all due respect, Mr. President, you're math is wrong and you are, completely misleading we the people.

This plan is more than a prescription for short-term spending -- it's a strategy for America's long-term growth and opportunity in areas such as renewable energy, health care and education. And it's a strategy that will be implemented with unprecedented transparency and accountability, so Americans know where their tax dollars are going and how they are being spent.

It's a way for you to buy a voting majority and create a socialist cradle-to-grave nanny state. Just tell the truth. Besides, Americans know where their tax dollars are going -- to cover up for the lost revenue created by tax cheats like Tim Geithner, Tom Daschle, etc. Not to mention I think we've all determined by now that your "transparency and accountability" promise to be a load of crap.

In recent days, there have been misguided criticisms of this plan that echo the failed theories that helped lead us into this crisis -- the notion that tax cuts alone will solve all our problems; that we can meet our enormous tests with half-steps and piecemeal measures; that we can ignore fundamental challenges such as energy independence and the high cost of health care and still expect our economy and our country to thrive.

Oh, that's right, anybody who dares to question you or your policies is "misguided". How dare we challenge The Chosen One! And no one, not one single person has said "tax cuts alone will solve all our problems". We just don't want you mortgaging America's future to buy your re-election.

I reject these theories, and so did the American people when they went to the polls in November and voted resoundingly for change. They know that we have tried it those ways for too long. And because we have, our health-care costs still rise faster than inflation. Our dependence on foreign oil still threatens our economy and our security. Our children still study in schools that put them at a disadvantage. We've seen the tragic consequences when our bridges crumble and our levees fail.

Excuse me, again, sir, but 58,343,671 MILLION AMERICANS DID NOT VOTE FOR YOUR SUPPOSED "CHANGE"! And you and your cut-and-run, pro-ACLU, anti-American security polices threaten our security!

Every day, our economy gets sicker -- and the time for a remedy that puts Americans back to work, jump-starts our economy and invests in lasting growth is now.

Now is the time to protect health insurance for the more than 8 million Americans at risk of losing their coverage and to computerize the health-care records of every American within five years, saving billions of dollars and countless lives in the process.

Enough with the health care stealth speak. We know what it is, just say it. National Health Care, Socialized Medicine... whatever you want to call it just say it and stop thinking you and Pelosi are smarter than us and we don't know what you're up to -- we see right through you, Mr. President.

Now is the time to save billions by making 2 million homes and 75 percent of federal buildings more energy-efficient, and to double our capacity to generate alternative sources of energy within three years.

Yeah, yeah, yeah! We've heard this and still think you're plan is CRAAP!

Now is the time to give our children every advantage they need to compete by upgrading 10,000 schools with state-of-the-art classrooms, libraries and labs; by training our teachers in math and science; and by bringing the dream of a college education within reach for millions of Americans.

And paying off the teacher's unions to vote for Liberals! Is that what you meant?

And now is the time to create the jobs that remake America for the 21st century by rebuilding aging roads, bridges and levees; designing a smart electrical grid; and connecting every corner of the country to the information superhighway.

These are the actions Americans expect us to take without delay. They're patient enough to know that our economic recovery will be measured in years, not months. But they have no patience for the same old partisan gridlock that stands in the way of action while our economy continues to slide.

Give us a break, Mr. President! Stop the lies! The only "old partisan gridlock" is coming from Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the Democrats and you know it!

So we have a choice to make. We can once again let Washington's bad habits stand in the way of progress. Or we can pull together and say that in America, our destiny isn't written for us but by us. We can place good ideas ahead of old ideological battles, and a sense of purpose above the same narrow partisanship. We can act boldly to turn crisis into opportunity and, together, write the next great chapter in our history and meet the test of our time.

See above comments about Obama's blatant partisanship lies.
