Arizona Pastor Says Prayer for Obama's Death (Video)

Okay, this is a bit extreme. I think Obama is an insane, racist radical, but I certainly wish him no physical harm.

An Arizona pastor says he hates President Barack Obama and that he's praying for his death. In an August sermon, Steven Anderson used the bible to try and justify his controversial position.

Will Barack Obama Health Care Reform Finance Abortions with Your Tax Dollars?

The Obama Administration says it is open to the idea of using American taxpayer money to fund abortions under Obamacare.

Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA) discusses the issue with Megyn Kelly.

Jake Tapper has more:

On Sunday, Office of Management and Budget director Peter Orszag was asked if in the taxpayer dollars would not fund abortions in the government-funded, public health insurance plan President Obama is proposing.

"I think that that will wind up being part of the debate," Orszag said on Fox News Sunday. "I am not prepared to say explicitly that right now. It's obviously a controversial issue, and it's one of the questions that is playing out in this debate….I'm not prepared to rule it out.

Sen. Judd Gregg, R-NH, an abortion opponent, said later that "no matter what your views are on abortion, you shouldn't ask people to use their tax dollars if they think that abortion is taking a life — to use their tax dollars for those purpose — for that purpose….I would hate to see the health care debate go down over that issue. We do really need health care reform, and it has to be substantive, and it has to bend that out-year cost curve, and it has — and we've got to get a — and we have to have a system that covers everyone. So hopefully we won't get ourselves wrapped around the wheel of abortion in this debate."

It's an open question. As the New York Times points out, during her confirmation hearing, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was asked about the issue.

“Most private plans do not cover abortion services except in limited instances, but do cover family planning,” Sebelius, a supporter of abortion rights, said. “And Congress has limited the Federal Employee Health Benefit plan to covering abortion services only in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the mother is in danger.”

Controversial Abortion Doctor, George "The Baby Killer" Tiller, Gunned Down, Murdered In His Church (Video)

***UPDATE*** President Obama issued the following statement about Dr. George Tiller's murder:

"I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence."

Tiller is far from a saint, however, a member of the radical religious right has once again gone way too far over the abortion debate.

Think about it; so called "right to lifer" murders someone?

According to Kansas law, thanks in part to former Governor and current HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Tiller did nothing illegal. This is not the first time Tiller has been shot either! This radical, anti-abortion wing must end its violence towards doctors who perform abortions. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion but one fact is clear; abortion remains legal in this country, whether you like it or not. I'm not advocating for or against it. Personally, I am pro-life, but I respect the rule of law.

O'Reilly talks to a woman who had an abortion performed on her at the age of 13 by Dr. Tiller.

Gateway Pundit has all the horrible, disturbing facts about the man arrested.

Fox News reports:

Late-term abortion doctor George Tiller, a prominent advocate for abortion rights wounded by a protester more than a decade ago, was shot and killed Sunday at his church in Wichita, his attorney said.

A Wichita city official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk publicly about the case, said a suspect was taken into custody later Sunday. The official would not provide additional details. Earlier, police had said they
were looking for a gunman who fled in a 1993 light blue Ford Taurus registered in the Kansas City suburb of Merriam, Kan.

Attorney Dan Monnat said Tiller, 67, was shot as he served as an usher during morning services at Reformation Lutheran Church. Monnat said Tiller's wife, Jeanne, was in the choir at the time of the shooting.

Tiller's wife Jeanne, his four children and ten grandchildren issued the following statement:

"Today we mourn the loss of our husband, father and grandfather. Today's event is an unspeakable tragedy for all of us and for George's friends and patients. This is particularly heart wrenching because George was shot down in his house of worship, a place of peace.

We would like to express the family's thanks for the many messages of sympathy from our friends and from all across the nation. We also want to thank the law enforcement officers who are investigating this crime.

Our loss is also a loss for the City of Wichita and women across America. George dedicated his life to providing women with high-quality heath care despite frequent threats and violence. We ask that he be remembered as a good husband, father and grandfather and a dedicated servant on behalf of the rights of women everywhere."

Laura Ingraham Gets Medieval On Notre Dame: "No Longer A Viable Catholic Institution"; School Thumbs Nose At Vatican Ideaology (Video)

Laura Ingraham went nuclear on the "secular" community of Notre Dame for honoring the most radical pro-abortion and pro-infanticide president in US history at commencement on Sunday. Ingraham correctly refers to the school as a secular institution after the debacle.

Here's the deal. It matters not your personal position on abortion. What matters is that Catholicism is explicitly pro-life. As a Catholic University, Notre Dame owes it to its students and alumni to respect Catholic traditions.

Sure, it's hard to pass on having the President as a commencement speaker at any University, but why was the invitation given in the first place?

Ingraham is a passionate pro-lifer and it's nice to see her stick to her guns here.

Full disclosure: The ConservativeXpress takes no official stand on abortion. The Supreme Court ruled on abortion in 1973. It is the law of the land and above all else, this website supports the Constitution.

Exhuming McCarthy: Newt Gingrich Blasts Obama's McCarthyist Tactics (Video)

"Let us not assassinate this man further Senator,

Newt Gingrich was on FOX News Sunday. He "as bitter a partisan attack on the Bush administration as we've seen since McCarthy".

Gingrich blasts Nancy Pelosi's lies over what she knew and when she knew it and weighs in on the Notre Dame, Obama scandal. He calls Obama's position is the most "radical, pro-abortion" view of any President in history.

Catholic League President: "To give [Obama] an honorary degree, would be like Howard University giving David Duke a degree in racial politics" (Video)

"The proposed granting of an honorary doctorate at Notre Dame University to our president, who is so aggressively advancing an anti-life and anti-family agenda, is rightly the source of the greatest scandal,"
--Archbishop Raymond Burke, who is the prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, the Vatican's highest court.

One of the Vatican's highest ranked clerics and a frequent critic of President Obama says Notre Dame's giving the president an honorary degree and a platform to address graduates at its commencement next weekend is a "scandal."

Bill Donahue, President of The Catholic League engaged in a heated debate on the subject with Robert Boston of Americans United for Separation of Church and State with Megyn Kelly this morning.

"To give [Obama] an honorary degree, would be like Howard University giving David Duke a degree in racial politics," says Donahue.

"That's offensive," replies Boston.

"No, what's offensive is you," says Donahue.

Fox News reports:

"The path of violation of the most fundamental human rights and of the integrity of marriage and the family which our nation is traveling is not accidental," he said. "As Catholics, we cannot fail to notice with the greatest sadness the number of our fellow Catholics who cooperate fully to the advancement of a national agenda which is anti-life and anti-family."

The archbishop also slammed Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, who was confirmed by the Senate last week on a 65-31 vote. Opponents cited her ties to an late-term abortion provider, George Tillman, who is a supporter of the former Kansas governor.

"The appointment of a Catholic as secretary of health and human services who has openly and consistently cooperated with the industry of procurative abortion in our nation is necessarily the source of the deepest embarrassment to Catholics and a painful reminder of the most serious responsibility of Catholics to uphold the moral law, which is the irreplaceable foundation of just relationships among the citizens of our nation," Burke said.

He added that it "grieves me to say that the support of anti-life legislation by Catholics in public office is so common that those who are not Catholics have justifiably questioned whether the church's teachings regarding the inviolable dignity of innocent human life is firm and unchanging. It gives the impression that the church herself can change the law that God has written on every human heart since the beginning of time."

Vatican Blocks Caroline Kennedy Appointment as US Ambassador

So.... um... like.... you know, Mr. Pope... um... like... I'm ... you know, pro-choice and stuff!

How naive and narcissistic of Obama to even think of nominating someone who is pro-choice to be US Ambassador to The Vatican?

Seriously, what is he thinking? What's next, nominating Louis Farrakhan as Ambassador to Israel?

Puh-lease! I get it. She supported Obama during the campaign and he wants to reward her with something. I'm just not exactly sure what she's qualified to do!
Even Kumar is more qualified, apparently.

The Telegraph reports:

Vatican sources told Il Giornale that their support for abortion disqualified Ms Kennedy and other Roman Catholics President Barack Obama had been seeking to appoint.

Mr Obama was reportedly seeking to reward John F Kennedy's daughter, who publicly gave her support to his election bid. She had been poised to replace Hillary Clinton as New York senator, but dropped out amid criticism that she lacked enough experience for the job.

The Italian paper said that the Vatican strongly disapproved of Mr Obama's support for abortion and stem cell research. The impasse over the ambassadorial appointment threatens to cloud his meeting with the Pope during a G8 summit in Itay in July.

Ms Kennedy, 53, has said that she supports abortion. Raymond Flynn, a former US ambassador to the Vatican, said earlier this week that Ms Kennedy would be a poor choice.

"It's imperative, it's essential that the person who represents us to the Holy See be a person who has pro-life values. I hope the President doesn't make that mistake," he told the Boston Herald. "She said she was pro-choice. I don't assume she's going to change that, which is problematic."

The White House refused to comment.

VIDEO: Catholic Outrage Over Scheduled Obama Commencement Address

Nearly 65,000 people have signed an online petition protesting President Obama's scheduled commencement address at the University of Notre Dame, citing the president's views on abortion and stem cell research that "directly contradict" Roman Catholic teachings.

Phil Donahue and Father Jonathan Morris discussed this today on Fox's "The Live Desk".

Fox News reports:

Nearly 65,000 people have signed an online petition protesting President Obama's scheduled May 17 commencement address at the University of Notre Dame, saying the president's views on abortion and stem cell research "directly contradict" Roman Catholic teachings.

"It is an outrage and a scandal that 'Our Lady's University,' one of the premier Catholic universities in the United States, would bestow such an honor on President Obama given his clear support for policies and laws that directly contradict fundamental Catholic teachings on life and marriage," the petition at notredamescandal.com reads.

The Cardinal Newman Society, an advocacy group for strengthening ideals at the nation's 224 Catholic colleges and universities, created the Web site to end what it calls the "travesty" of Obama's selection. The petition, which had garnered 64,051 signatures as of midday Tuesday, asserts that thousands of other "accomplished leaders" in business, law or education would have been more appropriate selections. The group says it is sending the list to an independent firm Wednesday to ensure that there are no duplicate names.

"Instead Notre Dame has chosen prestige over principles, popularity over morality," the petition reads. "Whatever may be President Obama's admirable qualities, this honor comes on the heels of some of the most anti-life actions of any American president, including expanding federal funding for abortions and inviting taxpayer-funded research on stem cells from human embryos."

David Constanzo, communications director for the Cardinal Newman Society, said Notre Dame's tradition of inviting sitting U.S. presidents to its commencement should be rethought.

"There is a time when policies need to be reconsidered in light of the fact that the individual invited may have a history of standing in direct opposition to some of the most prominent aspects of our faith -- the biggest case in point is that of the pro-life agenda," Constanzo said. "The obligation of Notre Dame as a Catholic institution is to follow the directives of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, who clearly stated in 2004 that Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles."

George Weigel, a Catholic theologian and distinguished senior fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, said the invitation is not a "neutral act" and will significantly damage Notre Dame's reputation in Catholic circles following Obama's decision to reverse restrictions on embryonic stem cell research and for family planning groups that provide abortions.

"I think Notre Dame should not have issued the invitation," Weigel told FOXNews.com. "This is a colossal mess. This is their mess to fix right now, but they should know that they have forfeited an enormous amount of credibility as an institution that takes moral reasoning seriously."

Pope Scolds Pelosi On Abortion; Pelosi Acts Like Nothing Happened

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, I guess, wants to be a "selective" Catholic. This is not an issue of religion or abortion or gay rights.

This is an issue of hypocrisy. And The Pope, justifiably, called her out on it.

The point is that Pelosi, by claiming to be "an ardent practicing Catholic", yet advocating heavily for pro-choice causes, championing contraception and supporting gay rights, is not acting very Catholic.

She tried to explain her mindset last August on Meet The Press, where she claimed that "the doctors of the church" have not sufficiently defined "life".

But like most religious tenets, faith is involved. Faith, trust and acceptance. You do not get to pick and choose which "rules" you believe in.

You cannot, for example, believe in 8 out of 10 Commandments and believe it's okay to cheat on your spouse and kill someone, right?

From The Associated Press:

Pope Benedict XVI received Nancy Pelosi, one of the most prominent abortion rights politicians in America, and told her Wednesday that Catholic politicians have a duty to protect life "at all stages of its development." The U.S. House speaker, a Catholic, was the first top Democrat to meet with Benedict since the election of Barack Obama, who won a majority of the U.S. Catholic vote despite differences with the Vatican on abortion.

The Vatican's attempts to keep the Pelosi visit low-profile displayed its
obvious unease with the new U.S. administration. Benedict and Bush had found common ground in opposing abortion, an issue that drew them together despite their differences over the war in Iraq.

The Vatican also said - contrary to its usual policy when the pope meets world leaders - that it was not issuing either a photo or video of the encounter, claiming the meeting was private.

Benedict said all Catholics - especially legislators, jurists and political leaders - should work to create "a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development," the Vatican said.

Pelosi, for her part, did not even mention the pope's allusion to abortion.

In a statement issued by her office, Pelosi said it was with "great joy" that she and her husband Paul met with Benedict.

"In our conversation, I had the opportunity to praise the Church's leadership in fighting poverty, hunger and global warming, as well as the Holy Father's dedication to religious freedom and his upcoming trip and message to Israel," Pelosi said.

"I was proud to show His Holiness a photograph of my family's papal visit in the 1950s, as well as a recent picture of our children and grandchildren," said the California congresswoman, who has often expressed pride in her religious heritage.

I find it quite amusing Pelosi failed to acknowledge the abortion lecture. Is she simply in denial? Or acting like a child who had disappointed her father?
