I agree, but shouldn't we all wait until 2012 to give President Obama ample opportunity to match, if not surpass Carter's legacy?

The Great One discusses race-baiting, failed ex-presidents, corrupt community organizer confederations and the smashing success of his most recent book.
There is no racism, according to new polls; people are simply afraid of Obamacare!
This is getting so ridiculous! The Left is so far out of line with the racial claims lately.
All those who question Dear Leader will not only be squashed, attacked, slandered and maligned; but now you are a racist too!
First, there is Maureen Dowd's Op/Ed yesterday in the NY Times where she calls Rep. Joe Wilson Racist.
Wilson clearly did not like being lectured and even rebuked by the brainy black president presiding over the majestic chamber...
...But Wilson’s shocking disrespect for the office of the president — no Democrat ever shouted “liar” at W. when he was hawking a fake case for war in Iraq — convinced me: Some people just can’t believe a black man is president and will never accept it.
Glenn Beck appears on Bill o'Reilly's show with a jaw-dropping development: 92.3 NOW-FM personality Lisa Paige got artist Jay-Z - who has hammered O'Reilly in a recent song - to sign a copy of his book, "A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity!"
In the interest of full disclosure, Paige is married to Stu Burguiere, executive producer of Beck's radio show.
These two are hilarious together.
A major newspaper is calling for his resignation as chairman of the committee that writes tax laws.
And then there's this: The 79-year-old is under fire for comments he made about race and President Barack Obama.
First, Gov. David Paterson did it. Now, Rep. Rangel is doing it as an ethics probe heats up.
The "it" is playing the race card. Rangel said "bias" and "prejudice" are fueling opposition to health care reform.
Already under fire for a wide range of ethical questions, Rangel played the race card in a health care forum the other night, saying racial bias against President Obama is behind opposition to health care reform.
"Some Americans have not gotten over the fact that Obama is President of the United States. They go to sleep wondering, 'how did this happen?'"
Rangel also likened the fight to provide health care for the uninsured to the fight for civil rights.
"Why do black people have to bargain for what is theirs? Why do we have to wait for the right to vote? Why can't we get what God has given us? And that is the right to live as human beings and not negotiate with white southerners and not court the votes. Just do the right thing," Rangel said.
Rangel's incendiary remarks come as the congressman filed amended financial reports to the House Ethics Committee admitting that he forgot to report millions of dollars in assets and income.
I said earlier, I'm as anti-Obamacare and socialism as anyone, but there is no place for this kind of disgraceful, cowardly, racist vandalism of an elected official's office.
However, for an elected Congressman to use the inappropriate sexual innuendo "teabagger" is what incites anger and outrage amongst not just radical fringe groups, but everyday citizens as well.
Kudos to this CNN anchor for correcting the Representative.
WASHINGTON – A swastika was found Tuesday painted on a sign outside Rep. David Scott's district office, an act the Georgia Democrat said reflects an increasingly hateful and racist debate over health care and should serve as a reminder for people to tone down their rhetoric.
Scott's staff arrived at his Smyrna, Ga., office Tuesday morning to find the Nazi graffiti emblazoned on a sign bearing the lawmaker's name. The vandalism occurred roughly a week after Scott was involved in a contentious argument over health care at a community meeting.
Scott, who is black, said he also has received mail in recent days that used N-word references to him, and that characterized President Barack Obama as a Marxist.
"We have got to make sure that the symbol of the swastika does not win, that the racial hatred that's bubbling up does not win this debate," Scott said in a telephone interview. "There's so much hatred out there for President (Barack) Obama."
A moderate Democrat who represents a majority-white district near Atlanta, Scott said he thinks the racism is isolated but can't be ignored. He said the swastika probably was intended as a warning. He hopes it instead persuades reasonable people to maintain a more substantive debate over health care changes.
"We must not allow it to intimidate us," he said.
Scott said his office immediately notified authorities, including the U.S. Capitol Police, who have warned lawmakers about potential threats stemming from the increasingly emotional debate over health care reform. An FBI spokesman said the bureau is investigating along with Capitol Police and the Smyrna Police Department.
Glenn Beck is not the only one who thinks Obama is a racist!
World Net Daily reports:
JERUSALEM – President Obama's policies against Jewish construction in eastern Jerusalem and the strategic West Bank were slammed as "racist" today by participants in a rally drawing about 2,000 Israelis in front of the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem.
"George Mitchell go home!" yelled protestors in front of the U.S. government building.
Mitchell, Obama's envoy to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, is here discussing the American administration's call for a halt to all Jewish settlement activity, including natural growth or accommodating the needs of existing Jewish populations in the areas in question.
The protest began in front of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's official residence. Marchers then made their way to the U.S. consulate about one block away.
"Obama should not be pressing Israel to compromise and freeze building in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem," protest organizer Yaacov Steinberg told WND.
Glenn Beck appears on Fox and Friends to expose the (not so) obvious truth about Obama and the Henry Gates scandal.
It has been assumed that Obama was taken off guard with the original Gates question, but there are reports now that he wanted the question to be asked, implying he flat out lied when he said he "could have calibrated those words differently".
Politico reports:
FOX News host Glenn Beck dialed up his rhetoric against President Obama Tuesday, branding the president a "racist" in an appearance on the morning show "Fox and Friends."
Beck charged that the president's handling of the controversy over the arrest of Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. displayed a "deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture."
"I'm not saying he doesn't like white people, I'm saying he has a problem," Beck said. "This guy is, I believe, a racist."
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh responds to President Obama's nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court:
"Here you have a racist - you might want to soften that, you might want to say, a reverse racist" because Liberals are dense. "Obama is the greatest living example of a reverse racist, and now he's appointed one."
I love how Andrea Mitchell snickers at Rush saying "appointing" instead of "nominating". News flash Andrea: there is no chance in hell Sotomayor's nomination will be blocked so Rush is correct!
What? Who knew? I just thought he was an idiot! But a rascist?
Visheslav Simich, director of the International Serbian Organisation, says Biden is very well recognized in Serbia as one of the most anti-Serb US politicians, noted to have said that Serbs are "degenerates" and "pigs".
“Biden is on the record as being very belligerent towards Serbia”
Wow! And this is the same Bono who participated in Obamapalooza at the Lincoln Memorial two days before Obama became became President!
Times Online:
Few would dispute that Bono knows how to write a song, but can the U2 frontman pen a poem?
This morning, he offered his skills up for public scrutiny by unveiling an ode to Elvis Presley on Radio 4.
In his familiar gravelly voice, the 49-year-old rock icon delivered a fast-paced, 14-minute tribute to The King.
Recorded two years ago, but written in 1994, the poem, entitled American David, contained an array of strange and risqué rhymes set to a musical backing track made up of Elvis tunes and other pop culture recordings from the last 50 years.
A warning about the poem’s language preceded the airing, as a series of offensive words including “nigger” and “spastic” were employed.
While Bono considers himself a “super fan” of Elvis, he didn’t shy away from his famous flaws. One rhyming triplet played on the singer’s long weight battle: “Elvis the bumper stickers/ Elvis the white knickers/ Elvis the white nigger ate at Burger King and just kept getting bigger.”
Another took aim at his iconic dance move: “Elvis the ecstatic/ Elvis the plastic/ Elvis the elastic with a spastic dance that could explain the energy of America.”
But other lines told of the U2 singer's admiration, as he called the late pin-up "pharoah-like", a "genius" and a "psalmist".
Bono gets political, as usual, but U2 still rocks!
Griff rocks! He doesn't take crap from anyone; especially a drugged-out angry Hollywood Liberal has-been (re: never was).
Yesterday on "Hardball", Pat Buchanan discusses the Frank Ricci affirmative action lawsuit with Joan Walsh from Salon. Ricci was denied a promotion because of an archaic affirmative action law that throws out the test if only white test takers pass.
Buchanan is not being racist in the least here, he is speaking the truth. Affirmative action was never intended to "put down" White or cause whites to suffer for being white!
We have an African-American President; I would like to think that affirmative action is become increasingly unnecessary.
Read the Ricci case court summary judgement here.
Last night on MSNBCs Rachel Maddow show, Princeton Professor Melissa Harris-Lacewell discussed President Obama's first 100 days.
Harris-Lacewell, an associate professor of politics, says that even though they (Blacks) aren't supposed to really say it out loud, Blacks are "pretty excited that Barack Obama has not been shot at in his first 100 days."
Then she goes on to proclaim that most African Americans who have achieved Obama's level of success typically have often been subject to violence.
Obama's level of success?
I'm sorry, but exactly how many Black Presidents have there been in America again?
Umm... I'm 99% sure that Barack Obama is the first.
Remember, we are a "nation of cowards".
She defines success: "So its a new day in America that the guy is still giving press conferences 100 days later."
Am I missing something?
The funny part here is that CNN actually puts the word "brotha" on the screen.
So I guess we finally are "post-racial"?
Um.....
Texas state legislator [Republican Rep. Betty Brown] suggesting that Asian-Americans might want to change their names to something a little easier to pronounce.
"Rather than everyone here having to learn Chinese — I understand its a rather difficult language — do you think that it would behoove you and your citizens to adopt a name that we could deal with more readily here?" the Republican lawmaker said, as the House was debating a voter ID bill.
Feel free to stop watching after the first minute or so. The politicians questions are in the first minute.
A Turkish news anchor wore dark face paint while he reported on President Obama's trip to the country. A rough translation: "Welcome, Mr. Obama. You took our hearts with your hospitality. We appreciate your kindness. We will do whatever America asks of us, as friends. Now, we ask the same of you."
In the "post racial" "nation of cowards" we allegedly live in with respect to race I'm amazed (not) that race is still being used as a political ploy.
It's my opinion that race will always be used as a political weapon.
But what do I now; I'm just the 200 LB gorilla in the blogosphere...
It's not just Eric Holder, James Clyburn, Al Sharpton , Julian Bond of NAACP and Otis Moss Jr. playing "race card" poker!
I officially don't recognize my country anymore. Instead of moving in a "post racial" direction, it seems we are becoming more and more "pro racial".
Radio Talk Show Host Warren Ballentine says that "African Americans Believe in 90% of Republican Core Values" From Abortion to Gay Rights.
Really? Then why did 90% of blacks vote for Barack Obama?
Call me a racist but I have but one word: welfare.
Shocker! Obvious!
