CNN Praises Cuba's "Free" Healthcare, (aka Free Ad For Obamacare) (Video)

More propaganda from the State Run Media! It's still socialism! It will still bankrupt America and the level of care will be, at best, bad.

Hugo Chavez Mocks Obama: "Obama has just nationalized General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right!" (Video)

Reuters reported:

Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Tuesday that he and Cuban ally Fidel Castro risk being more conservative than U.S. President Barack Obama as Washington prepares to take control of General Motors Corp.

During one of Chavez's customary lectures on the "curse" of capitalism and the bonanzas of socialism, the Venezuelan leader made reference to GM's bankruptcy filing, which is expected to give the U.S. government a 60 percent stake in the 100-year-old former symbol of American might.

"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right," Chavez joked on a live television broadcast.

During a decade in government, Chavez has nationalized most of Venezuela's key economic sectors, including multibillion dollar oil projects, often via joint ventures with the private sector that give the state a 60 percent controlling stake.

Sen. McConnell: Budget makes USA worse than Cuba!

Well damn! If we're going to be communist like Cuba and reach out to Cuba, why not be as broke as Cuba!

"They call him Obama! He's the black Che Guevera and the Messiah of Communist moonbats!"

President Barack Obama's 3.55-trillion-dollar budget plan will leave the United States with a worse budget deficit than Cuba, a leading Republican critic warned Tuesday.

"This creates for us a higher deficit than Cuba's. This is not the kind of position we want to put the United States in," Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters.

Other Republican critics of Obama's spending policies, including his nearly 800-billion-dollar economic stimulus package, have variously warned that he risks turning the country into Argentina, France, Germany, or Zimbabwe.

Asked for the figures underpinning the charge, a McConnell aide pointed to a report from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office that warned the US budget deficit for fiscal year 2009, ending September 30, would swell to 13.1 percent of Gross Domestic Product.

Cuba's deficit in 2008 was 4.1 percent of GDP using the official exchange rate, or 1.57 percent using another measure of total national output, according to the CIA.

According to official Cuban government figures, Cuba's projected deficit in 2009 will run to 5.6 percent of GDP, less than the 6.7 percent it reached in 2008.

Obama To Appease Communist Cuba; Will Reverse Bush Policy

"They call him Obama! He's the black Che Guevera and the Messiah of Communist moonbats!"

Why stop at Hugo Chavez' invitation to join him down the path of socialism when we can just make nice with the Commies right in our back door!

Barack Obama: Bringing Radical Socialism To The Western Hemisphere!

In 2004, President Obama said ""I think it's time for us to end the embargo with Cuba... It's time for us to acknowledge that that particular policy has failed."

The Guardian reports:

President Barack Obama is poised to offer an olive branch to Cuba in an effort to repair the US's tattered reputation in Latin America.

The White House has moved to ease some travel and trade restrictions as a cautious first step towards better ties with Havana, raising hopes of an eventual lifting of the four-decade-old economic embargo. Several Bush-era controls are expected to be relaxed in the run-up to next month's Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago to gild the president's regional debut and signal a new era of "Yankee" cooperation.

The administration has moved to ease draconian travel controls and lift limits on cash remittances that Cuban-Americans can send to the island, a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of families.

"The effect on ordinary Cubans will be fairly significant. It will improve things and be very welcome," said a western diplomat in Havana.

The changes would reverse hardline Bush policies but not fundamentally alter relations between the superpower and the island, he added. "It just takes us back to the 1990s."

Is this the kind of change you asked for, America?
