No kidding, but why did she claim yesterday that it did? Amateur Hour; Napoitano is SO under qualified for her position. It's time for Obama to give her the ax. She has no experience in national security and never should have been appointed to DHS head in the first place.

Homeland Security Drone Patrolling New York's Lake Ontario

Video of a boat on Lake Ontario captured from 19,000 feet above (John Moore, NewsWatch50)
WWTI reports:
A monitor inside an operations trailer shows a close-up view of a boat skimming across the water on Lake Ontario.
The image was taken from an unmanned aircraft more than three miles away.
A Predator B Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) has been temporarily based at Fort Drum since early June in an experiment by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office.
The Department of Homeland Security is using the extensive restricted air space over Fort Drum to test whether the drone could be a good fit along this stretch of the northern border.

Police Foil Pentagon Security Breach (Video)
An unidentified man tried to push his way past Pentagon security Wednesday and was wrestled to the ground by police and arrested, officials said.
The man tried to get into the huge military headquarters near the building entrance
that fronts on Washington's subway system and a number of bus routes. But it was unclear how he got to the Pentagon.
"Pentagon police wrestled him to the ground ... he is under arrest," said department spokeswoman Cheryl Irwin.
She said it was unclear whether the man was armed. Building police — members of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency — drew their weapons but no shots were fired, she said of the attempted security breach that happened at about 1:15 p.m. EDT.
The man's identity and other details were not immediately available.
"Thought Control", Another Attack On America! DHS Releases "Domestic Extremism Lexicon" (Video)
Read the full DHS lexicon here; crazy stuff.
For example, the report defines "Right Wing Extremism" as:
A movement of rightwing groups or individuals who can be broadly divided into those who are primarily hate-oriented, and those who are mainly antigovernment and reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority. This term also may refer to rightwing extremist movements that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
Apparently, you are an "extremist" if you actually believe in the 10th Amendment and state's rights? Who are these people? I believe in the Constitution and I'm demonized?
Leftwing extremism is defined as:
Um...so, Obama and most other Liberals ares officially extremists according to DHS?
A movement of groups or individuals that embraces anticapitalist, Communist, or Socialist doctrines and seeks to bring about change through violent revolution
rather than through established political processes. The term also refers to leftwing, single-issue extremist movements that are dedicated to causes such as environmentalism, opposition to war, and the rights of animals.
A DHS spokesperson said the dictionary was not authorized, that it was recalled shortly after it was let out and state and local law enforcement officials have been told to ignore it.
But this is precisely the way Team "O" thinks and perceives America. Lead by Obama, they are radical, arrogant, dishonest and dangerous to the American way of life.
Dobbs calls it "the kind of egregiously offensive product coming from the agency"
From Lou Dobbs:
"Another controversial report and more damage control from the Department of Homeland Security, the same department that issued a report suggesting returning war veterans were susceptible to extremist groups. Also issuing what it calls the quote "domestic extremism lexicon", end quote. It's like a dictionary with definitions for various extremists or terrorist groups and some definitions. Here's an entry. Anti-immigration extremism -- the Department of Homeland Security's definition -- people who are quote "highly critical of the U.S. government's response to illegal immigration and oppose government programs that are designed to extend rights to illegal aliens, such as driver's licenses and in-state tuition."
Rep. Peter King (R-NY) responds:
Lou, actually, it's very distressing. You and I can have a lot of fun with this, we could show you ridiculous it is how off- target it is, but the reality is that the department of homeland security is supposed to be defending us against another attack from Islamic terrorism, yet it appears to be the gang that can't shoot straight.
And also to me, it's missing its purpose. You went through all those different definitions of different type of extremists. Nowhere in that dictionary do you see the term "Islamic extremist." The department was set up primarily to protect us from another terrorist attack from Islamic terrorists, and yet they talk about everything but that. Any time they word "terrorist" since Secretary Napolitano took over was several weeks ago when they said the returning veterans and anti-illegal immigration organizations could be terrorists.
So this is really wrong and the fact that it's happened twice now shows that the department is really off control. There's a tremendous lack of discipline here.
From Fox News:
The Department of Homeland Security is reining in a "maverick" division of the agency following criticism of a report it issued that details domestic "extremists" ranging from anti-tax movements to pro-environment groups, a DHS official told FOX News on Tuesday.
The report, released in March and recalled within hours, was on top of a controversial document the same office produced last month that said U.S. veterans were ripe for recruitment by terrorist groups.
The quickly withdrawn report, titled the "Domestic Extremism Lexicon," comes from the department's Office of Intelligence and Analysis, the same unit that produced the report on right-wing extremists recruiting vets. The document, first uncovered by The Washington Times, uses a broad brush to define terms used when analyzing dozens of supposedly extremist ideologies inside the United States.
They cover: Jewish extremists, animal rights extremists, Christian identity extremists, black separatism extremists, anti-abortion extremists, anti-immigration extremists, anti-technology extremists, Cuban independence extremists and tax resistance extremists, to name a few.
Department spokeswoman Amy Kudwa said the report was not authorized and is not being used.
"The lexicon was not an authorized I&A product, and it was recalled as soon as management discovered it had been released without authorization," Kudwa said. "Since this happened prior to our last experience, our new internal protocols were obviously not in place. Even so, this product is not, nor was it ever, in operational use."
The Homeland Security official who spoke to FOX News said the office that released the report had taken on a "maverick" attitude by acting without authorization and is now being "reined in."
In addition to the report on right-wing threats issued last month -- for which DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano apologized -- DHS detailed left-wing threats in a similar report released in January.
The "Domestic Extremism Lexicon" covers ideologies across the spectrum.
An explanation at the top of the document claims the glossary is meant to provide "definitions for key terms and phrases that often appear in DHS analysis that addresses the nature and scope of the threat that domestic, non-Islamic extremism poses to the United States."
The authors wrote "that DHS/I&A intends this background information to assist federal, state, local, and tribal homeland security and law enforcement officials in conducting analytic activities."
The definitions are rather broad and apparently raised flags within the department.
According to the document, for example, tax resistance extremists are people who "vehemently believe taxes violate their constitutional rights ... Members (of this group) have been known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence and terrorism in an attempt to advance their extremist goals."
The top of the document also defines "alternative media" as something sinister -- though the term is commonly used to describe blogs and popular publications like New York's Village Voice.
"Alternative media" is "a term used to describe various information sources that provide a forum for interpretations of events and issues that differ radically from those presented in mass media products and outlets," the report says.
The report also covers domestic groups more commonly referred to as extremist, like neo-Nazis.

MS NBC: DHS "Extremist" Report Not About Politics (Video)
Really? Not about politics? So, does MS NBC want us to believe that the MSM and Team "O" is not assaulting the "right"?
How can that be? Or we just supposed to pay no mind to the man behind the curtain?
Give me a break; the Homeland Security report has everything to do with politics. Duh.

Obama Hypocrisy 2.0: Kentucky Reeling...Governor Calls In The Entire National Guard...Where Is Obama? Remember Katrina?

MAYFIELD, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear called up his entire Army National Guard on Saturday, tripling his troops with his state still reeling from a deadly ice storm that knocked out power from the Midwest to the East Coast.
More than half a million homes and businesses, most of them in Kentucky, remained with out electricity from the Ozarks through Appalachia, though temperatures creeping into the 40s helped a swarm of utility workers make headway. Finding fuel - heating oil along with gas for cars and generators - was another struggle for those trying to tough it out at home, with hospitals and
other essential services getting priority over members of the public.
The addition of 3,000 soldiers and airmen makes 4,600 Guardsmen pressed into service. It's the largest call-up in Kentucky history, which Beshear called an appropriate response to a storm that cut power to more than 600,000 people, the state's largest outage on record. Many people in rural areas cannot get out of their driveways due to debris and have no phone service, the governor said.
"With the length of this disaster and what we're expecting to be a multi-day process here, we're concerned about the lives and the safety of our people in their own homes," Beshear said, "and we need the manpower in some of the rural areas to go door-to-door and do a door-to-door canvass ... and make sure they're OK."
Local officials grew angrier at what they said was a lack of help from the state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. In Kentucky’s Grayson County, about 80 miles southwest of Louisville, Emergency Management Director Randell Smith said the 25 National Guardsmen who have responded have no chain saws to clear fallen trees.
“We’ve got people out in some areas we haven’t even visited yet,” Smith said.
“We don’t even know that they’re alive.”
Smith said FEMA was still a no-show days after the storm.
FEMA spokeswoman Mary Hudak said some agency workers had begun working Friday in Kentucky and more help was on the way. Hudak said FEMA also has shipped 50 to 100 generators to the state to supply electricity to such facilities as hospitals, nursing homes and water treatment plants.
“We have plenty of folks ready to go, but there are some limitations with roads closed and icy conditions,” she noted.

Homeland Security Presents: Grim Terrorism Outlook, 5-year Threat and Border (In)Security Obama Doesn't See How Border Security Is Important
President-Elect Obama once said border security has nothing to do with Homeland Security, Town Hall's Hugh Hewitt reported in 2007.
Harry Reid certainly didn’t want to have this measure voted on, because he didn’t want to look foolish and have the Republican parts of the immigration bill passed around him on an end run, so he asked the chair for a ruling that the Graham amendment be stricken because it wasn’t germane to the original bill.
That’s right, the Democratic leader of the Senate wanted a ruling that border security funding has nothing to do with homeland security funding. All eyes turned to the chair, currently occupied by Barack Obama. Here is what he had to say.
HR: We have to have a ruling here first.
BO: The chair is not aware of an arguably legislative provision in the House bill, HR 2638 [the homeland security funding bill], to which Amendment number 2412 offered by the Senator from South Carolina [the border security funding amendment] could conceivably be germane.
Judd Gregg: So the amendment is germane?
BO: No, that the chair does not believe that the defense of germaneness is appropriately placed at this time.So there you have it. Senator Barack Obama, the man who is trying to win your vote to be the president of the United States, the commander-in-chief, the man whose primary mission is to protect and defend the country, can’t see how border security has anything to do with homeland security. Unbelievable, but true.
Now, Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff warns that the terror threat to the USA remains a real, probable threat. Chertoff cites continuing border security challenges as a major factor.
From USA Today/Associated Press:
The terrorism threat to the United States over the next five years will be driven by instability in the Middle East and Africa, persistent challenges to border security and increasing Internet savvy, says a new intelligence assessment obtained by The Associated Press.
Terrorists will continue to try to evade U.S. border security measures and place operatives inside the mainland to carry out attacks, the 38-page assessment said. It also said that they may pose as refugees or asylum seekers or try to exploit foreign travel channels such as the visa waiver program, which allows citizens of 34 countries to enter the U.S. without visas.Long waits for immigration and more restrictive European refugee and asylum programs will cause more foreigners to try to enter the U.S. illegally. Increasing numbers of Iraqis are expected to migrate to the U.S. in the next five years; and refugees from Somalia and Sudan could increase because of conflicts in those countries, the assessment said.
Because there is a proposed cap of 12,000 refugees from Africa, officials expect more will try to enter the U.S. illegally as well. Officials predict the same scenario for refugees from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Intelligence officials predict the pool of radical Islamists within the U.S. will increase over the next five years due partly to the ease of online recruiting means. Officials foresee "a wave of young, self identified Muslim 'terrorist wannabes' who aspire to carry out violent acts.
Equally alarming, is Obama's choice of Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano to head Homeland Security.
Free Republic gives us the Governor's mixed record she often appears soft on immigration and border security.
Scary times are getting scarier with The Messiah-in-Chief looming on the horizon. Stay vigilant, America. We may need to rely on ourselves for protection.
