Scott Brown (R) is sworn in 2/4/10 as the Junior Senator from Massachusetts. He replaces Sen. Paul Kirk (D-MA), who was appointed in September 2009 by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick (D) after the seat was vacated by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D) in August 2009. Sen. Brown will serve alongside Sen. John Kerry (D-MA). Brown won a special election on January 19.
